Nice way to add 3 way or more control without new electrical work.
If you are at all comfortable with electricity, the wiring of the 'receiver' in an electrical box or ceiling fan is straight forward and adequately explained. First, of course, turn off circuit at breaker, verify, and then make your connections. The reciever is a small box with 4 wires, two neutral (tpyically white in most house wiring) and one lead for power source (120v) and one lead for the 'load' or device to be controlled. The wire colors on the receiver do not match these colors, so you need to read the label on the box to confirm your proper connections. If your switch box is really crowded with wires, putting the receiver in the box may be a bit of a struggle, but we did several and always managed to get it to fit. Simple case: one way switch for ceiling light: receiver is installed in electric box behind the original light switch, the original switch is replaced with the new 'transmitter' switch which is mounted on the existing wall box, job done!. If you have a second transmitter switch you can put is anywhere (wall mounting hardware included). Note this will not work easily on a multigang box since the switch is a self contained Decora style swith and built in cover. (You can mount any of the controlling 'transmitters' pretty much anywhere and coule even leave the original switch ain the box and add the transmitter after the switch, as a kind of master control. The system is very flexible and if you are reasonably electrically minded, you can even replace three way normal switches with four way and more. The transmitter can be installed, for example, in a ceiling fan canapy, to control the light separately from the fan, Again, you need to be reasonably comfortable with how ceiling fans are wired, power at ceiling fixture, v, power at wall switch, two wire v three wire, etc. Also note, you can not integrate dimming or motor speed in the basic system unless the dimming and/or motor speed controls come after your new 'receiver'. Extra switches and outlet controllers can be added, and programmed to work with the same transmitter. Each purchased set is pre programmed to for the transmitter switches to work with the supplied receiver. If you buy two sets, for example, to use in diferent rooms, no problem of conflict. But you can also reprogram them all to work with the same switches. We had a little trouble with the cryptic instructions re programming, but got quick help from the vendor. Also, we did not test the distance claim since all our uses were within a single room. We had some issue with line of sight but behind furniture failure to always work, but minor adjustments in location of switch, or receiver seemed to solve the problem.Switches use 12 v batteries which retail for about $1, we do not know how long they will last, but the battery is only used when the switch is pressed on or off, so it should be a long time. We like this inexpensive way to improve lighting control convenience at a good price.

Working well so far
UPDATE May 5, 2023: these remotes have continued to work great and have fully met my expectations. Havenโt had to change the battery on any of them yet.โ-June 2, 2021: Pretty happy with it so far. Installed a couple of these sets over the last 2 days. One was installed in an exterior soffit outlet that controls fairy lights. Another was installed to control a door motion sensor light on an exterior garage. They did wire in easily (I had help from a family member knowledgeable with electrical wiring), and the controller fit well into standard old work boxes. Controller works fine even though my older home (1940's) has most circuits with no neutral wire. Remote switch range was tested at probably 25 feet from inside of my house, and worked reliably with no problems. You can hear a quiet "click" when the little relay in the controller switches on or off. The switches themselves are as quiet (or quieter)Pros:1. Affordable: 2 remotes + controller2. Quite easy to install, even in a house that has less-than-optimal electrical wiring3. Remotes already paired to controller4. Additional remotes can be paired to the controller if necessaryCons:1. The remote switch plate can't really be mounted in a standard outdoor waterproof box. I thought I might be able to grind the outside to make it fit, but it's too large, and the battery would get in the way...would take waaaay too much customization. Would be really great if they made a lower-profile version that would actually fit inside a Decora switch space.2. The switch itself works a little different standard Decora rocker switch. Clicking the top part of the rocker turns "ON", clicking bottom part of rocker turns "OFF". You also don't get the tactile feel of the switch being on or off; you have to check whether the light is on or off.3. IIRC this was not compatible for one of my applications (a 2-wire dimmer circuit in my dining room); this is minor, because I didn't expect this one to work with a 2-wire dimmer circuit. Had to buy a different and significantly more expensive product (4x the price!)I give the product 5 stars for now, and will revise in 12 months or so, based on the reliability and performance of the device. Will be interesting to see how long the switch battery lasts.

Bad Connection- Great Customer Service
Easy install and small enough unit it will fit in most fixtures. The issue I had and what seems like many people had was the connection. Many people seemed to have issues turning it on. I had issues turning it off myself. I had to mount my switch upside down. It flat out refused to turn off when I mounted it right side up. I managed a marginally higher success rate by holding the switch instead of pressing it a few dozen times. If youโre dead set on an item like this I would only recommend it in a room with little use so you donโt frustrate yourself everyday. This was an initial review of the product and I have not been using it very long. If it gets better or worse I will update my review but as of now I feel like this item was not worth the trouble. I would have rather paid $50 for a version that was more robust in feeling, cleaner looking, slimmer on the switch portion, and had a 90% success rate in the operation. Lastly, a version that uses a AAA battery would be much better. Not many people stock the weird type that is in this switch (the code is escaping me at the moment), this makes it frustrating when the battery dies because I will likely have to go to the store not the closet.UPDATEThe seller reached out to me, they believed the item demonstrated in the video was faulty. They sent me a new one completely free of charge. I wired it up and had the same result. They told me it works best if there is a direct line of sight from the switch to the box, things like metal impede the signal greatly. So I moved the box outside of the fixture and I had much better results. However, it looks unsightly and I will be placing the box back in the fixture. Overall decent product for the price especially if you are willing to mount it in a line of sight. It is also worth mentioning I used the old switch for over a week with low to moderate use and never had any issues with the signal connection being lost it always turned on right away and had the slight issue turning off.

This was a quick and easy fix versus buying wire and tearing into your walls
I use this in a back room that had a ceiling light with no switch it worked flawlessly and save me a lot of time and money from fishing wires through the walls or calling an electrician

It does require electrical work inside the ceiling light box
This took significantly more installation than I expected, but the result is great. I disconnected the original wall switch wiring at both ends. A wireless switch was then installed on the original wall switch box (easy) and I have three additional wireless switches, also programmed to operate this same ceiling light. The ceiling light box was small and considerable effort was required to re-arrange the existing wiring within the box so the new receiver module could fit in there and still allow the LED and programming button to be accessible. This button needs to be pressed to cause the LED to flash and then the wireless switch needs to be activated to program the receiver for that new wireless switch. This needs to be repeated again for each new wireless switch to become active. When all wireless switches can turn the light on and off, then the light fixture can be mounted, covering access to this programming button and LED on the receiver. The manual could be improved here. The installation of the receiver for these switches DOES REQUIRE wiring within the electrical box in the ceiling and the original light switch box. Anyone not experienced in doing this electrical work should seek professional help for this installation. I'm a retired Electrical Engineer and licensed electrician, so I was comfortable doing it. Also, the colors of the receiver wiring are not per the USA Electrical Code, so read the manual Red and Blue are the power inputs to this receiver. Black and white go to the light fixture. This is backwards from the National Electric Code, but follow the Surialec Manual and DO NOT hook it up backwards. This light is the ceiling light of my photo/video studio and I frequently need to turn this light off when it will affect the photography lighting, then back on when no longer taking photos or videos. A wireless switch is now located in the original wall switch position, plus one at each camera. Nobody needs to find the wall switch in the dark after the photo shoot any more.

More hassle than expected
I really wanted this to work, but itโs been a frustrating experience from the start. The connection is unreliableโsometimes the remote works, sometimes it doesnโt, even from a short distance. Setup seemed simple at first, but the switch randomly loses pairing and needs to be reset more often than it should. The build quality also feels cheap, and the buttons are not very responsive. Overall, it doesnโt deliver the convenience it promises and just adds more hassle. Would not recommend. I did not return the item just because I was waiting until my electrician came and did additional light to replace this one. This ended up as a toy to play for my kid, I wonder if he will have more patience than I had ๐

Works perfectly!
I replaced a closet light on a pull chain with a chandelier. Hence, there was no wall switch to turn the chandelier on or off, so I installed this little unit. The controller box fits nicely in the junction box, and the portable wall switch fits nicely inside the closet on a wall. Now it's real easy to open the closet doors and just touch the light switch and have the chandelier light up beautifully. Very happy with this purchase. Works exactly as described. Highly recommend.

Nice, but not perfect
It works ok. It was very easy to wire and attach the switch to the wall. My only complaint is that it does not switch off quickly. You have to hold the switch down for a second or two to turn the lights off. It turns them on instantaneous, but for some reason there is a delay on turning them off. Itโs kind of annoying as you hit the switch on the way out of the room and the lights stay on. Itโs a nice little product and has potential, but needs improvement.

Works as it should.
i had only one switcher in the room befor the entry and there was no switch at the exit outdoors.I was searching for different solutions. And instaed of buying at home depot 3 times more expensive, I went with this oneI had to fit the part that does the job in the light box and it was not easy. But the result 6 months later is still perfect. Now I have two switches and they work fine.
