Malaysian Trumpet Snails (MTS) from One Stop Aquatics (6 Snails) by One Stop Aquatics

Shipping was super fast, arriving in a couple days after ordering. They were well packed and plenty more than the 6 ordered. I counted around 113 MTS and 4 mystery snails. After a week of quarantine, around 100 made it into the tank and the mystery snails are being re-homed (too much bioload for a low-tech setup). They're settling in nicely and I couldn't be happier with them

When they arrived I got seven. Three came dead while four were alive. I left them in a conditioned bucket and 2 days later all were dead. Did I do something wrong? I heard they are hard to kill so how could they die two days with no food? Did they need to be heated? I also left the deceased snails with the live ones because I wanted to be sure of their status. And even though the Amazon page states otherwise, I am apparently unable to get a return. Only contact the seller. Was hopeful but ended up being disapointed.

I ordered 6 snails. I received around 20 trumpet snails and 2 bonus apple snails. I got them out of the mailbox within minutes of their arrival, knowing they had a long and chilly trip. They were packed in a paper towel inside a plastic bag that was inside another bag and a shipping box that said "live inverts" on it. The wet paper towel was so cold I really wasn't sure how many would awaken. I expect the seller wisely included so many in case of extra cold weather or a shipping delay. I quickly put the snails into water and, over the next 30 minutes, all of them began to move around and start hunting for food! The last to wake was the largest apple snail. The snails are all lively and seem to be in good health despite their harrowing journey. MTS are known for their hardiness and their willingness to aerate substrate and clean algae without eating plants. Many consider them trash snails, but I put them in all my betta tanks. Bettas will attack snails but MTS are true survivors. Don't overfeed your fish or else you will have a million snails.

My snails came in a plastic bag with a wet paper towel in it. They are alive and healthy and are now in quarantine with my newly hatched mystery snails. I have read several reviews saying these snails gave their fish parasites. This can be true of pretty much any new tank-mate. However, the reviews indicate that this seller has had parasites in their tank before, so caution here is a must if you're attached to the fish in your tank! I read that if you quarantine the snails for 28 days, most parasites will die off by then, given they don't have a fish host to live on. Snails are apparently intolerant to most types of parasite treatment, so quarantine seems to be your best option here. I'm a little sad that I have to wait so long to get them in the tank and wish the seller had provided some better insurance regarding the health of their fish tanks so parasites weren't such a huge concern. You're paying for what you get here, no frills other than maybe an extra snail or two. Overall I'm satisfied with the purchase, I just wish the seller provided more information to attest to their credibility and to instruct people on how to safely add the snails to their tank.

I ordered the 6 pack and received 7 in the mail. They came packaged in a small cooler with a heat pack (still warm on arrival). The snails were much larger than I expected. Four were about 2.5-3 cm long and there were 3 others that were closer to 2-2.5 cm long. I was happy to see this because the last snails I attempted in my aquarium were too small and quickly eaten by my fish! I've had the snails in my tank for a few days now and they've been happily chomping down on algae and detritus. So glad I ordered these! The one con is that the cup they came in could have been tighter. There was a little bit of leakage while I was unboxing them, which was worrisome. However, they still had plenty of water.

Couldn’t be more pleased with my purchase. Ordered 6 and counted more than 20 when they arrived. Not only did I receive them in good health but I also got two nerite snails and 1 ramshorn for free. 100% recommended. I Would order less then you think though because you might end up with more than you need.

The snails arrived in a brown paper towel in a ziploc bag. I followed the directions on the paper in the envelope. Within 36 hours, my betta fish was dead. What the heck??
