Great Quality And Value Kit
Really good value nice quality kit enabled me to dive right in and start seeing results straight away. Thorough documentation which you download from the Freenove website. You should do the first project (a simple flashing blue LED) to check you have things working but after that I just jumped around through all the other hardware projects. This is a great kit for the money. If it helps, here are the items I used to work with this: Raspberry Pi 4B 2GB ( the cheapest and I had one, no reason you shouldn't buy one with larger memory but not needed for this kit I don't think) Power supply with USB-C connector (minimum 3 Amps i.e. 15 Watts though my decent 12 Watt one was OK so far) Micro HDMI to HDMI cable say 1 metre (I tend to buy UGREEN or Anker brands as they are nice quality) SanDisk Ultra microSDHC 32GB card UGREEN 4-in-1 USB 3.0 Card Reader A spare PC monitor with HDMI video input also a USB 2 button PC mouse and a USB PC keyboard all connected to the Pi I just used the Raspberry Pi website to download an operating system for the Pi, think it was 64Bit with desktop version, once you have this running on the Pi you can easily use a network cable plugged between the Pi and your hub/router and download other stuff you need. I am no expert but I suspect a pi model 5 might be a bit 'too new' for use with this kit but I may be wrong. I think I found a few typos in the Freenove documentation, then again I may be mistaken. A few of the projects I cannot get to work at this time but as most of them do work I see this a challenge and a learning opportunity rather than a problem. There is a lot of detail in the documentation and perhaps more sophisticated ways of working than I used but again I can dig further into this later for more learning. For me the most important aspect here is to get working results quickly in the first instance so as not to be discouraged and this kit really enables that.

Many weekends entertainment :D
I can’t get over how awesome this kit is, there’s enough components to have kept me occupied over several weekends diving in already and I’m barely 1/10th of the way through them. What stands out is how easy it is to pick a component and dive straight in as everything is easily pluggable. I really value the ability to just sit right down and start coding and having fun, as time is at a premium right now. The documentation that has been put together alongside this projects kit is massive, and it’s all readily available just in a git repo. Every component has enough instructions and example code to get you started without too much trouble. I’ve saved lots of time by there being working code I can drop in if things get tricky. There is a lot of fun to be had with this kit and I’m really amazed at how easy it is to get started as [pretty much] a beginner. There’s also some awesome switches on the main board which were my favourite type as a kid, so that may have added some bias!

Age range - at least 8+ (unless a gifted child)
Liked: The whole thing!! Very detailed setup and project instructions (available online) - 338 pages! Good quality, well-designed project board Loads of nice projects. Great learning tool and confidence builder - Raspberry Pi, Electronics and Coding. Disliked: Very little! Quite a lot of set-up software and configuration of the Raspberry Pi are needed. (but all online) Packets of components without any description of what's in them - but it's fun finding out! (Component list needed in the Tutorial)

Excellent product - very well made with easy to follow instructions
This is an excellent kit for those wanting to learn more about electronics, using a Raspberry Pi. The quality of construction is excellent, certainly up to Freenove’s usual high standards and the instructions are easy to follow. With some interesting little projects to get involved in, it is a really good product to consider as a gift for someone who wants to learn more about electronics but doesn’t want to have to solder components or circuits together.

Fantastic
Bought this together with a Pi for our son (13) who is interested in coding. This has a great tutorial book on getting everything set up and tons of different exercises, has really helped us get the best from the Pi as a present. Well worth the money

Great development board
This is a great development board that wil allow you to build your project and debug easily. For beginners given the hardware and the good online tutorial, it’s a great product. Easily extend GPIO connections to a bread board for additional prototyping, but not all GPIO. Good selection of devices supplied and quality seems to be high

Amazing kit for Raspberry pi projects
Best kit for Rapsberry Pi projects. Everything is organised, no clutter or messy wires. It comes with a link to download project codes. Once downloaded, it’s easy to follow the instruction manual even if not familiar with coding. Fast delivery too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I got my board a few days ago and I was able to quickly assemble it using the provided instructions and play with the first two projects. The board works perfectly with a Raspberry Pi Zero Wireless first generation (armv6l). I have a couple of Raspberry Pi devices around but I preferred to test it using the Pi Zero. The quality of the hardware provided by Freenove reminds me of an Apple product, really well done and a nice looking board, simply beautiful. The current Raspberry OS is different vs the one presented in the documentation, but everything works mostly the same, one just needs to pay a little attention for the small name changes in the menus (e.g. raspi-config changed the location of where various settings were in the past). The provided instructions for building the projects are clear and easy to follow. I would encourage everyone to run the provided code and then try to redo the code from scratch without picking at the solution. Once you have a working code, compare your code with the provided one. This is the best approach if you wants to learn. Based on your programming background, you can chose between C and Python to follow with the projects. It is also possible to do the projects in Processing (Java) but it is recommended (in the provided documentation) to do them first in C or Python. I didn't tried the Java version for the first two projects I already did but I will do it in the next days. Looking forward to a few weekends of playing with the Freenove Raspberry Pi projects board !
