how does this compare to the one from walmart?

Can't compare to Walmart, but it is flimsy. couldn't get it back down after the first set up (wouldn't fold back up) and eventually broke.

How wide is the net? One comment states the net is regulation height but not width.

The net is about 10 foot. It may not be regulation, but we like how portable the unit is and we now use smaller boundaries to fit the width. We have brought this with us to adult parties and everyone really enjoys it. Best for small areas and young players. Our grand children are six and nine, and they love it.
