Don't do it. Read below.
The line itself is fine, but trying to save money by buying this and winding it onto a strimmer spool is a false economy. You will spend most of your time stopping to let out line manually, because it has jammed. My advice would be to pay a little extra and buy the spools for your strimmer with the line factory wound onto them.

Incorrect line diameter quoted, should be 1.65mm.
Ordered this for use with B&D ST5530 which requires a line of 0.065 inches or 1.65mm diameter. The A6171 line is quoted in the inst book as being one of the correct spools of line for reloading the original spool, however on receiving this pack I was surprised to note that the diameter stated on the back of the pack was 1.5mm. On checking with B&D they verified that 1.65mm is correct for the ST5530 and could not explain why the pack should be 1.5mm. I checked the diameter of the line in the pack and it was in fact 1.65mm not 1.5mm as stated in the Amazon spec, and is correct for the ST5530 strimmer. The pack marking is incorrect, so if purchasing this for a strimmer that requires a 1.5mm line, then this thicker line may cause auto feed problems etc.

Pain in the **** to wind on to the reel, keep getting snaged
at first when I wound this on to the empty reel i thought everything was great. I tried my best to make the wind on reel as neat as possible by winding it on to the reel going smoothly from top to bottom of the reel itself so that as the cable unwound itself it would be fluent. Everything was great to start with. As the reel got to the last third of length it keeps snagging and not releasing itself correctly. So ANNOYING now. I have tried removing all the reel and winding on new length but it is now a waste of reel. It keeps getting snagged

Little fiddly to wind on but don't need to do it that often
Was a bit skeptical reading the reviews of this but YouTube has a video of a guy doing it who said (and he's right), the key is getting the first layer in and tightly packed, the ones after then follow easily and in line. The line does not snag as it's fed out, works same as the original did. Ultimately this is a cheaper alternative and you waste less plastic doing it this way. I don't anticipate having to re-wind it that often considering how long the original cartridge lasted.

Good for the price
Sturdy and cuts well enough for the price. It's not exactly going to laser through your grass but it lasts longer than other more expensive lines that I've tried.Note that this isn't a slot-in replacement cartridge for your strimmer, it's just line on a reel. You need to unwind it from this reel and wind it onto whatever came with your strimmer. The trade off is it's cheaper than slot-in replacements and you get more of it.
