Learn Huck Embroidery on Monk's Cloth

Wonderful ! I'm always looking for new Swedish Weaning/Huck Weaving patterns. There are so many in this book. Many I have never seen. I was so happy to find more books are to come.

Beautiful designs, especially the one on the cover! Good instructions, although the charts are different than I am used to. I will have to go over the instructions for those charts again (in the book), but that should not be a problem. I love embroidering on Monk's Cloth because it is large and mostly one-directional stitching and I have nerve damage in my hands. Plus the results are superb and lasting even with years of machine washing. The throw I made for my daughter is 15 years old and well-used by all her family; it still looks close to new! I can't wait to try this cover design!.

I like it but would like directions for the patterns because just the picture is not enough. Need to know how many stiches to go over and up and down because the picture is very hard to understand on which direction to go. I saw on a video that showed how many to go over, up and down. Please let me know it there are any books out there that have those dirctions and I would be willing to buy them at a good low price. Thanks

I am making the Rose Trellis lap robe which was the pattern I wanted and why I purchased the book. The instructions and diagrams are excellent and make following the pattern virtually fool-proof. Unfortunately Rose Trellis is the only pattern I'll likely make. (personal taste) Still, I feel I got good value for this pattern and all the general hints and pointers. I believe the book has the "Look Inside" option so check if you want lots of patterns.

The book itself is great! Wonderful patterns and instructions. However, I bought it for my Kindle not realizing I cannot print a pattern and have to do my project thru my Kindle. Not good for me. So I bought the same book in paper back, now I am happy but out double. Hard lesson learned.

Although this book has great patterns, they are super hard to follow! If there is more than one row of the same color it is almost impossible to track. Having them in different colors would help or a design on the different rows would be good too. I don't plan on sending it back, but I am going to have to study to figure it out.

Its hard to see if I am going to like the projects because the pictures offered are not clear enough to see. I ended up wishing there were more designs to choose from as I'm not particularly drawn to any of these designs. However, the directions are clear and easy to follow, so all is not lost. As a learning tool, this is pretty good.

Nicely illustrated, lack of instructions frustrating. I wish had written instructions instead of just diagrams other than that I would have given it a 5 out 5. Thanks

My purchase arrived on time and was packaged well.A beautiful book with lots of projects, especially for the novice. There are very clear instructions and the patterns are colour graphs which are very easy to follow. Really delighted with this book.

The book is very nice but be prepared to work for hours to try and source the Monk's Cloth material required to work the embroidery.

Lovely book with clear instructions and clear colour charts. These projects use Monks cloth which is not available in the UK and as yet I've not found a suitable substitute.
