Question 1

What is the internal dac chip used is it Sabre or other?

Accepted Answer

I'm sorry but i think creative is mistaken on what they did when they provided you an answer earlier. ;-) I read that the G5 uses a Cirrus Logic CS4398, and that the CS43131 is used in the G6. Creative states that they use the CS4398 for the G5 this on the G5 product page at amazon.ca, and also at the product page at the Creative site if you look it up... ;-)
"Audiophile-grade Headphone Amplifier

The G5 is not just a 24-bit/192kHz, 120dB USB DAC. With a Texas Instruments TPA6120A2 headphone amplifier with a low output impedance of 2.2Ω, the G5 is capable of driving headphones of up to 600Ω impedance as well as sensitive in-ear monitors in the market today.

This pocket-sized external gaming sound card also supports high-resolution audio playback of up to 24-bit/192kHz, thanks to its Cirrus Logic CS4398 DAC, which has a Signal-to-Noise Ratio of 120dB." Cheers.

Question 2

Is there a proper ps4 update for this product?? I read in the reviews below and there are issues.does anyone have a good setting for black ops4 ps4

Accepted Answer

I’m still working on this. It’s pretty much trial and error with the eq. I did boost a lot on the mid range to hear footsteps more and put the surround on “narrow”. I think that’s key as you don’t want a wide sound stage. It will make enemies sound further that where the are. My best suggestion is to hook it up on PC but have the optical run from your PS4. From there I went into the software to manually tweet the eq in a solo match. I tried the scout mode and it was a little too much and it will lower some parts of the game that you need to hear. It depends on the headphones you are using as well and what frequencies it automatically boosts.

Question 3

Will the g3 soundblaster card work with the arctis 7 using a 4 pole to 3 pole adapter?

Accepted Answer

The headset jack of the Creative Sound Blaster G3 is already 4-pole, hence you will not need any adapter if the headset is already using a standard 4-pole connection.

Question 4

Hi, can this improve my conference call audio quality?

Accepted Answer
