Can the pads be cut for recliner size without effecting absorbency ?

The absorbency will not be effected, However by cutting them you may have an issue with liquid running off the pad, as you will not have the edge of the pad in the area that you cut. Do these contain an attractant for pets?

I believe its use is for humans, nothing in box says anything about pets, there is no odor or smell in pads.

Is there any cotton in product?

The pads work well. They have an aqua plastic style backing and a thin cotton surface that faces the patient. I would repurchase them.
