I bought these for use with the Retro Arch emulation software on my PC to play old NES and SNES games. Set up was very easy you just plug the gamepads into your computer and they are instanly recoginised as USB gamepads and that's it you are ready to go. There gamepads would work equally well with a RetroPie set up with a Raspberry Pi too. The pads are about the same quality as what the original Nintendo pads would have been. They are all plastic construction and seem robust / strudy enough for the job and I can see no reason why these wouldn't last a long time. The little bag they come in while is a nice touch is ultimately pointless at least for me. There seems to be no perseivable delay in button pressing registering when playing a game... so for all intents and purposes these work well and I would recommend them.

Look and feel pretty similar to how I remember the old Super Nintendo (SNES) controllers. I'm using them to play retro games on a Raspberry Pi 3B running Batocera. Didn't need to map any controls. These just worked. No issues so far. Plug & Play. Worth noting I couldn't get these to work on Windows 11 Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge. I might have had a second use for them with RetroArch on my laptop, but I'm just amazed how well they worked with my Raspberry Pi so can't fault the controllers. They are perfect for me and my original intended use.

Great value for a bit of retro gaming fun. Worked first time with the RetroPie image that I used - recognised immediately. The supplied storage bag is a nice touch!

If you are after a pair of no fuss no muss retro controllers for a Raspberry Pi 3 and Retropie these are a pretty good solution. I had a few issues with getting two controllers set up at the same time but with a bit of fiddling I got there in the end. The product itself is recognised by Retropie / Emulation - but bear in mind that you won't be able to map all the controls as this thing only has a crosspad, two shoulder buttons, a start / select button and four fire buttons (so it won't cover all functionality). I found it useful for some of the older console emulation (SNES of course, Megadrive, PC Engine) but fairly useless for anything newer or even MAME where sometimes you need an analogue stick or two. The quality of the product is OK. Merely OK. It looks like a cheap SNES controller knock-off which is exactly what it is, and it feels like it lacks the robustness of the original SNES controllers (for example you just don't get that nice 'feel' from any of the face buttons). BUT for a tenner for a pair of controllers to give you a bit of two player action for some games? You could do a lot worse. The product came with a handy carry bag, decent length of cable (1.5 m as the review said) and was shipped in a timely fashion. I've still yet to find the perfect arcade compatible stick for my Retropie setup (some of the dedicated arcade controller joysticks are stupid prices) but for cheap, this will do for now.
