Hamstick Mag Mount
I bought this mount to use with ham radio HF hamsticks to a mount on my vehicle's roof during portable operations (POTA or deployments). Works well for my needs. The magnets are really strong, but I don't keep it mounted permanently ... I only attach it after parking. It comes with an SO-239 connector, so I had to also buy an adapter for the hamstick to work. I'm happy with this option. It's easier for me than a permanent mount on my truck.

Works good, but buy some loctite red and/or a lock washer to go with it.
First of all, I have no problems with functionality or connection. It works fine for that. However the flat nut used to clamp the connector to the base refuses to stay tight no matter how hard I screw it back on. So I’m going to get a lock washer and loctite to keep it on.

The ONLY mount you'll want for oversized antennas!
Being an Amateur Extra ( KE8GKO ), I have lots of antennas. HF, VHF, UHF, dual band, tri-band, quad band. With a small single band VHF/UHF or dual band antenna, a small 4" or 5" magnet mount will be just fine for a UHF or NMO mount. If you are trying to use a Firestick or an Shark Ham Stick for HF, you'll need the BEEF! Quad Band 10M, 6M, 2M will all need this Heavy duty mount. You'll be glad you did! 73 de KE8GKO!
