No, it does NOT include bottom cord with the headset.  It is stating it has a quick disconnect on the headset cord, but you have to purchase the bottom cord separately.   It is the headset to QD only. Headset World USA

How is the sound quality for the person on the other end? i work from home and i am told often i sound like i'm on a speaker phone or far away.

these are not designed for use as a USB headset.  I purchase the headset you mention for connection to a VOIP phone.  I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XWG12QS/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 for use with a computer via USB connection for both phone calls and music.  Both are good headsets, but designed for different applications.
