What a story. Very passionate, very interesting and intense to read. I like all the characters and love this story so much..can't wait to read the next one

The first book of the Norcross Security series. Haven is the new curator at the Hutton museum, trouble sees the new painting in the hands of bad men and Haven injured. Rhys is there to be her saviour, and her boyfriend if she want him. Wow Haven endures a lot through this book. Kidnappings, attempted kidnappings, beatings etc. And it all comes down to one man.......... Her ex. A good start to this series and i can't wait to see who is in the next book.

Absolutely loved this! Lots of action, dangerous circumstances, but best of all, a woman who doesn’t just wait to be saved. Highly recommend.

Haven McKinney now living in California after a lot of trouble in Miami, Florida and the boyfriend who had lied and cheated on her.With a new job at the Hutton museum, owned by Easton Norcross and his sister Gia as her best friend, life was good. That was until the past affected the present. After arranging to meet Gia for drinks and a meal and about to leave for the night when things start to go wrong.Events begin race along. From a break in and theft of an expensive painting and injuries to Haven and two security guards. With the arrival of the Norcross brothers, the reasons why the museum is targeted begin to be revealed. One thing after another as things escalate. Add criminal trouble and few handsome ex military men and greedy art buyers before Haven deals her own form of punishment, out of pure frustration of her experiences. Another great new series to look forward to. Now the wait begins for book 2 and the consequences started in this volume.

Enjoyable storyline and likeable characters make it hard to put the book down. It was a little far-fetched in places with the Russian mafia and black market dealings. Nonetheless, it's a feel-good romance with some steamy scenes. Definitely recommend as a good escape from the real world.

first time reading this author this book has a lot of everything, very action packed a slow romance, kind of (well he waited for 6 months) this is about a family of brothers and one sister gia this series starts with the youngest and gias friend.Loved the hitting him with the shoe I was right there with her how many people was going to kidnap her I was passed too.funny I love the banter more banter with the team please

Just finished this in one sitting as it had me hooked.Haven, is certainly one unlucky lady who seems to land herself in trouble a lot. Rhys takes on the role of her protector and their chemistry is off the charts.Great introduction to this new series.

This is a great story, with well developed character, each with their own issues. Haven is strong and determined and has some great moments that illustrate that. Rhys has a military background, which haunts him in his own way: watching him deal with the reality of Haven was very satisfying. I have read the book several times and still enjoyed it.We are introduced to the Norcross family, who have their own experiences and situations for future exploration in the series and have led to many happy reading hours.

I Loved this book I have read it three times and I would read again. Haven and her hot man were a perfect pair. I laughed a lot she was just so funny and a great character

Mrs. Hackett knows how to write an intriguing book. This is book 1 of the Norcross series.Rhys is the laid back brother that likes fast bikes, cars, boats, and has rumors about his love of fast women. He sets his sights on Haven and let the fun begin.Haven has just moved to San Francisco a few months ago and the oldest Norcross brother is her boss at the art museum. She’s the curator there and best friends with the only Norcross daughter Gia. Because if what and who she left behind in Miami, she has sworn off men. This makes for a tough time for Rhys to try and win her heart.I enjoyed the story and felt bad for all the things that occur to Haven, but I got somewhat annoyed with her push and pull with Rhys. She wanted him then didn’t want him. Repeat. The story took off when she finally welcomes him into her heart. That man has patience of a Saint.Not a bad read and enjoyed the main story line. There are several steamy scenes and they were pretty good. There isn’t a definitive HEA at the end of this book nor an epilogue. More like we’re happy right now, then it takes off what I’m assuming will be book 2 and Gia’s story.Worth a read.

Romance épicée avec un peu de mystère, des méchants (mafia russe !!!) Pas trop méchants ce que je trouve bizarre pour des mafieux.Lecture sympathique et facile, je poursuivrai cette série, j'espère l'histoire de Vanders qui me semble être le plus profond et tourmenté de la fratrie.

I am loving this. It was a page turner. Can't wait for gia's story new. It looks to be a scorcher.
