The Ladies of Rosings Park: A Pride and Prejudice Sequel and Companion to The Darcys of Pemberley

Another really enjoyable novel. I thought at first that as I knew the plot (from the Darcy's of Pemberley) I wouldn't be that enamoured but once again the author draws the reader into the characters.Lovely to discover the hidden side of Lady Anne, good to read of Charlotte and altogether a very good read.

Really enjoyed this and felt the voices and the actions of the original characters were believable. Lady Catherine stayed tough as long as possible, and it was lovely to see her daughter Ann get a life at last.

I really enjoyed this book and a really good edition to others in this series. The story picks up after Darcy and Elizabeth have been married. As Austin fans will know Lady Catherine Deburg disapproved strongly as she wanted her sickly daughter Anne to marry Darcy. So what happens next. The story continues with Lady Catherine, Charlotte Collins ( now widowed) and Anne Deburg. The limelight shines on this poor sickly woman under her mother’s thumb, rise to be the person we would hope for. Also the connections with the Darcys are never far away.

I thought this was a great follow up from the original Pride and Prejudice but kept in the style of the original author.It was a different twist to the story understanding the thoughts of each party at Rosings Park.

This with its companion books The Darcys of Pemberley, Georgiana Darcy's Diary and Return to Longbourn form a good sequel knitting together well. For those afficianadoes of Jane Austen for whom finishing Pride and Prejudice was not enough, this is an interesting excursion into what might have followed.

I enjoyed this book and liked to see the heroine set free from her controlling mother so that she could have a life of her own.

Not the best book by this author but still very enjoyable.

Absolutely wonderful. I can see I'll be rereading this book many more times in the future. Of all the books in thus series this is my favourite one.
