Finding Grace
Nicholas has always been a loner even though he is surrounded by a big family. He is not satisfied with ranch life but doesn't know what else to do with his life. One day a head strong young lady named Winnie Watson enters his life and turns his world around. Both of them are searching for something. She wants to find a daughter who she gave up for adoption at birth and Nicholas decides to help. They are faced with danger and disappointments which causes them to grow closer but once the search is over, they still face situations which could keep them apart.I loved each book in this series! The characters are so true to life and you feel like you know each one after you read the last page. Sometimes in a series the first couple of books are the best but that is not true with Ms Lang's Circle Eight! Each story is as exciting as the previous one. I think this book is adult reading.

but as they drive back to Houston they share secrets and begin to fall in love. Nicholas vows to help her find her daughter ...
In the previous book -Vaughn, Nicholas meets a woman when he goes to Houston to help his sister. When he returns to the Circle Eight he cannot get her off his mind. She shows up for Elizabeth and Vaughn's wedding and Matthew asks him to drive her back to Houston. He is reluctant at first, but as they drive back to Houston they share secrets and begin to fall in love. Nicholas vows to help her find her daughter and he ends up in trouble. Once again his brothers and brothers-in-law come to his rescue and they head back to the Circle Eight. His sister Rebecca, goes to help Tobias, a character that was introduced in the last book. She has decided that she is going to marry him even thought he does not appear to be interested in her. The next installment will be about Rebecca and Tobias and I cannot wait to read it.I am really enjoying this series and would highly recommend it.

Plots good, writing not so much
I have read all 8 books in this series and enjoyed the story lines throughout but the lack of attention to detail provided in earlier books as well as the lower quality of the writing keeps me at a rating of 3 stars. Each book is given a starting date which is great for the reader. Helps to visualize the way of life. This book (book 5) has a start date of July, 1844 which, based on the ending of Book 4, is impossible. It starts with Elizabeth's and Vaughn's wedding which takes place in September, 1844, not July. Other obvious errors: Catherine is named as the youngest sibling twice, Ben is, the name of Matt's first son changed from previous book, Circle Right ranch band Lorenzo misidentified as Alonzo.Words missing, words added shouldn't be there, incomplete sentences not present in first three books happening more and more. Plots remain good if only a competent proofreader had been used.

Brought back together for a wedding, Winnie and Nick are civil. Then Nick has to escort her back home!
Regardless of the things you've survived in life, the scars may get tender when you know its time to handle the situation with the support of someone you love. Winnie and Nick may both find this to be true. Good storyline.

A Wonderful book and a Fantastic Series!
This is a wonderful read. The story starts off dark and then everything is explained. The love story is great and the couple are a great fit. This is a fantastic book in the Series and I highly recommend the series.

A Little Disappointed
I'm a fan of the Circle Eight Books. However, I don't think this story was up to par as the others. It was a lot shorter, and I couldn't get over the spelling errors. There were more than a few, and even some words left out. I read where the book was self-published. I don't know if this was the reason for the errors. Let's hope the next book is better as I really enjoy Emma Lang's books.

Wonderful, just wonderful
I love the Graham family and thoroughly enjoy every visit. Emma Lang/Beth Williamson is my go to author when I want a great historical romance, I just love her writing style and have devoured everything she has ever written. If you haven't checked her out, you are missing out!

A masterpiece
I have thoroughly enjoyed the Circle Eight series so far. To be honest I could not have said which book I liked most so far. But now I can. This tale of Nicholas and Winnie was simply wonderful. Full of characters we have come to know and love, it is so nice in a series to have this. But what makes this book extra special? I wept throughout. And I don't often weep. The plot returns to the themes of family love and care, the life and difficult times of Texas in the first half of the 19th century, and the welfare of children. Winnie's childhood was horrendous. She was daughter of an awful man whose treatment of her led to her prostitution and giving her daughter away at the age of 16. Nicholas was also a very troubled young man but together they began to heal each other and find Winnie's daughter who had spent most of her 9 years in care until she was sold to a shopkeeper and was essentially his slave. This story of discovery, and blossoming love within this new family had its tender moments and its passionate moments, but it was a thrilling tale too as Nicholas and Winnie try to find the little girl. I just loved this book. It was a dammed good read and a story I shall re read again for sure.
