This device is amazing but it is not intuitive whatsoever.
Some mics need phantom power and that can be a pain to set up. Powering it up and down is not labeled well. Overall, it does a great job in regard to the audio, it’s just not user-friendly.

Garbage accessories
Just go ahead and order a different kit or just the recorder. If you need rechargeable batteries get some separately from a reliable name brand. These cheap rechargeable batteries that come with it can cause major issues and potentially cause a house fire. When the charger was plugged into the outlet it made a loud popping noise. The contacts show over 16v to the AA charging section. DO NOT ORDER THIS KIT.
