The color itself is a really pretty dark navy, it’s even and took very nicely to my hair. It mentioned on the box “extreme brightness” and “intense highlights”, it also says “to go more than 4 shades lighter, it is necessary to bleach hair.” I thought that my already bleached ends would be more vibrant. Given that the mixture takes time to develop, it looked light when I was applying it. I had bleached my ends 3 times over a few months and they were a pale green color when I used Da Vinci. I used 20 volume developer for the recommended 30 min. The pics with flash you can see the blue more, but in regular light it looks almost jet black. I just wanted to let anyone know to be careful using this, because it’s a waste of bleach, time and it’s a ton of damage to your hair to bleach 2-3 times and then end up dying it darker than desired in the end.

This is a nice rich light brown/dark blond with just a hint of red.

i used to buy at Sally's but i switched to this brand about two years ago. i personally love it. it stays vibrant and as long as you don't leave it on more than you are supposed to your hair stays healthy and shiny

This is a lovely shade, and we really like the color. However, I wanted to warn people about one potential problem. This is NOT a self-activating dye. When I ordered it, I didn't know I'd need to separately purchase developer before I could try this. Lots of bright dyes are self-contained -- they either come packaged WITH developer, or they don't require developer. It's not hard to find (stabilized hydrogen peroxide) but it's not something I keep on hand for hair care, because I've never needed it before. Maybe it could be suggested as an add-on when people buy this? If it had been suggested, I would've bought it at the same time I bought this dye. Other than that, I'm happy with the color.

Stays to cover my white stubborn hair

1) don’t forget, you need to use developer with this. If you just use it straight from the tube without mixing it with developer, it will not work.2) this produces a navy blue in about 20 minutes, and it’s a permanent navy. It will fade over a few weeks, towards a dark greenish-blue. I found it unpleasant in all stages.3) It does bleach out with 20 developer and bleach, and without too much damage.I am not a fan. But it does what is says on the tube.
