Its not too sweet not too bland and just right on the hotness scale. PF Changes sauces is way to bland with no heat even though its listed 4/5 on the hot scale. I would give this a 5/10 on the hot scale just enough but no so hot its makes you go WOW that is hot. Maybe on the edge of too hot for some people. Edit Jan 2024 Our local store has Huy Fong - Sriracha back in stock (3 years) and its $6.19 per 17oz not $19.00 like you see scalper get. And they did not change the taste its the same as old. We did a taste (look at photo) they are listed in order of best (left) to worst far right. Note: PF Chang, Lee Kum Kee and Sky Valley taste good but are like ketcup no heat at all. Same with the Fix red. Tabasco And AssKicking sriracha have good heat but taste bad, metallic and tabasco like. The Rooster and Meijer are almost the same in taste and heat. I know how? Meijer copied it well Premium (Underwood) is the company that provided the pepers to Hung Foy Rooster but they failed to match the taste its a step down. The Fix red has very low heat but good taste. The Fix green has high heat and good taste but not sriracha taste but good. If I had to keep two of them 1. Hung Foy or Meijers 2. Fix green just because I like its heat its 2x as hot as any other on the photo. And tastes goo. Its almost my favorite. But the taste not quite as good as Hung Foy. The fix is expensive 10oz = $10.00 or 100 cents an oz Hung Foy $6.19 for 17 oz or 36 cents a oz better deal. The meijers is even less.

We're a family made up of hot sauce fanatics. One entire shelf in the door of our fridge is lined almost entirely with various hot sauces. My husband is the worst culprit. While on vacation, he usually manages to find some new locally-made variety that makes the trip home with us. Out of ALL of this assortment, though, our hands-down favorite is Huy Fong Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce. We go through it quickly enough that this 3-pack is really convenient. Because we do like a "hot" hot sauce, we always dismiss the milder forms of this condiment. Some hot sauces are more of a watery, hot-vinegar taste. Others have SO much heat to them that flavor can't actually be determined...all you can tell is that your mouth is on fire. That's what we love about this sriracha sauce--while hot, it also has a more interesting, full-flavor to it. The Huy Fong sriracha is made of a purée of fresh red jalapeños, garlic powder, sugar, salt and vinegar. The first (main) ingredient of many hot sauces is vinegar, or in some cases, even just water. Not the case with this hot sauce by Huy Fong...the hot chili peppers are the main ingredient. The red jalapenos in this sriracha sauce are definitely hot, but with a bit of a fruity taste that is sweetened with the small amount of sugar it contains. It's great as just a condiment on whatever food you like hot sauce on (which, in our family, is most foods). It's also a wonderful addition to many recipes. In a stir-fry, I'll use this sriracha as part of my heat base in the sauce. A small amount added to a cream sauce or mayonnaise dressing adds a lot of zing. This Huy Fong Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce is generally found in the Top Ten in most published rankings of the best hot sauces...and many times it is in first place. I'd have to agree. This green-capped scorcher is #1 in our home.

This sriracha sauce is the best sriracha. I have tried many sriracha sauces and I still come back to this one. This sauce excells on anything asian especially spring rolls and pot stickers. Out of all hot sauces I've had, this comes in at number two - second only to huy fong's chilli garlic sauce.

For the last year we couldn't find this stuff in any local store anywhere, and of the few Amazon sellers who were offering it were gouging everyone with a 500% markup, so I tried to use the local stuff in stores that were supposed to be similar, but they all sucked. 4 different imitation brands went in the garbage because I couldn't stand them. Very thankful that this is now available locally again and the price has gotten somewhat reasonable again. I love everything about this stuff, and not just as a condiment for Asian cuisine. Spice up your ketchup, bbq sauce, salad dressing...the possibilities are endless. Please Sriracha, don't ever leave me again. I was worried sick about you.

Net: Nothing better on market today! OK, Yes It changed since the manufacturing plant burned down and they have resumed production of this "Red Gold". Flavor is the EXACTLY same but the "HEAT" is defiantly 1/3 of what once was. I simply add couple drops of "capsicum extract” or "Daves Insanity" (sold on amazon) to my bottle of Huy Fong Sriracha. I have purchased Huy Fong Sriracha when the ONLY PLACE I could find it was in “China Town” in San Fransisco 1980's. I carried 2 of them back with me (and fresh fortune cookies) to East Coast on plane (before TSA) every couple months, I love this stuff so much. I purchased the Gallon JUG of this stuff from amazon just recently. I simply refill my existing bottle adding few drops of capsicum for extra heat (does not change the flavor profile). JUG I purchased is same red color as it has always been and flavor is spot on. I cannot speak for other amazon reviewers that bought in smaller containers and complained about color and flavor difference. Simply, still the best Siracha compared to the rest sold out there. I, like most people tried replacements past 3+ years nothing compares to the flavor and texture of this sauce. Just add heat if want it spicier.

En mi caso me encanta la siracha cada que se me termina compro otro y este galón esta en un muy buen precio, regularmente la botella esta en 15 dólares o más, y este galon esta en 32 es como si compraras 6 o 7 botellas de siracha a tan solo 32 lo cual es una locura, lo recomiendo totalmente y es auténtico 10/10.
