Great for stargazing! Great value
Great for stargazing! Having a separate button for the red light is a must for stargazing to protect your night vision and this headlamp works great with that feature. The white light is pretty bright and covers a wide area. The red light is expectedly not as bright but covers enough area for your immediate workspace and for directly on the ground in front while walking. Comfortable to wear for long periods. Great value for 2 pack. Don't have anything to knock it so far. Just wish the red light had both a brighter light and the lower light setting. Currently it has just the red lower light and red strobe setting.

Great, durable and bright
The headlamp worked perfectly during a 5 day rainy camping trip over New Year's. I wanted something bright and comfortable as well as something with the red light feature to help with night vision. The white light was very bright and helpful with details, while the red light feature helped for standard movement around my campsite. Despite it getting wet in the rain, it continued to work perfectly. It was also comfortable to wear and did not slip!

This Light Is Great!
This light is bright, and has a separate switch for turning on the red led. This will keep your night vision intact as you don't need to cycle through the white led to get to the red led. The switches are recesed so it's hard to turn them on with gloves on, this is the only downside. I love the fact that the red led can be used separately as I do lots of astronomy and I need this. Overall this is the best headlight that I have found for astronomy and for the price it's unbeatable.

More than enough
The popularization of CREE lights has generated so many products claiming thousands and thousands of lumens that I wondered how this product's advertized 120 lumens could possible be enough, but I bought it because it is light in weight and can be directed down so that I can see what I'm working on with my hands around the house, which is what I bought it for. At ten bucks it was worth a shot. The light I was using for this prior to this purchase had 5 lights on it and was so heavy that the band stretched too much and lost elasticity. It turns out that 120 honest lumens is a lot and the lesser setting of 60 lumens is also enough for me to see what I'm working on. It's also bright enough to illuminate a walk in the dark. The elastic headband appears to be substantial. The only complaint I have applies to all CREE lights I have used or seen: I don't need a strobe and I don't know anyone who does. Putting a strobe setting in the clicking order just makes a flashlight more inconvenient to use. However, a red light can be useful at night, and a good feature of this light is that the red light is on a separate switch, so I don't have to click through it to use the white light. This light is a good, practical, well designed device. I'm going to give some of these lights as stocking stuffers. I haven't had it long enough to comment on battery life. I liked the light so much I ordered three more to give as X-mas presents.

Miserable Backpacking Trip-Tested Product!
I took this tough little light on the trail in the Adirondacks with a group of more seasoned hikers who had way more expensive headlamps. We were coming down from the Algonquin peak way too late in the day (not my fault, by the way!) in the pouring rain, in pitch black conditions, slipping and sliding along the muddy rocks of the creek that masqueraded as a trail. Conditions were COLD, WET, and MISERABLE, but I have to tell you that this light was up to the task! It was WAY brighter than the other headlamps,, super comfortable to wear, and lasted for hours with still more battery life at the end of the three-day hike. I loved the fact that it tilted at my feet (and stayed in place!) so I wouldn't slip to my death on the rocks (and this is not much of an exaggeration). The main light has three settings, (super) bright, dim(mer, but still bright!) and blinking (which I contemplated using so someone would come rescue me from my misery!). The red light is also very bright and can be set to steady or flashing. It was perfect for getting up in the middle of the night at camp. The housing is hard plastic and stood up very well to the rain. The elastic is very durable and the buttons worked well with no issues. I was VERY pleased with this product. My hiking brothers were so proud of their super expensive, top-O'-the-line gear, but I was even prouder of this inexpensive but incredibly durable and super functional product. I highly recommend it, not just for budget-conscious weekend warrior backpackers like myself, but for anyone who wants a great headlamp!

Great cheap headlamp
I bought this years ago and never ended up writing a review. I am now for the simple fact that this thing is still going strong after 4 years. It's bright and I love that it has a red light funtion with a separate button. The only downside is that you do have to replace batteries. That being said, it has worked flawlessly each time I replace the batteries. The only downside i could say is that the buttons are really easy to push which means it could turn on in your backpack if you use it for camping so be careful with where in your pack you put it or make sure you take a battery out so it doesn't accidentally turn on and drain your batteries.

Survived 12 hours of mud and water, and still keeps shining bright!!
Used this torch during a 12 hour overnight obstacle course race. This torch was tested to its extremities, splashed (and on occasion submerged) with water and mud, and lasted all night, no matter what the night threw at it!! The torch also kept up with some well known torch brands with regards to how bright the torch can go also. The only thing which was my personal preference was that the headband could have been more comfortable, however due to how cheap it was for a twin pack or torches which survived the night, I cannot complain on this trade off. A superb bit of kit, which will last whatever the weather and whatever the use.

Two battery-powered headtorches for work and outdoor pursuits
I got this product for my engineer brother for work purposes and he really likes it. He is very impressed with the fact that unlike other headtorches he has had in the past these two are very compact and lightweight; he also likes the fact that they are battery-operated (so he does not have to remember to charge/recharge) and that the batteries are supplied (6 x AAA, 3 per headtorch). They arrive in a very small cardboard box. Inside the box are the headtorches attached to their elasticated straps (which are adjustable to fit most if not all head sizes comfortably). There is also a an instruction manual and 6 x AAA batteries in the box. Each headtorch is bright and has various different modes including a white strobe, high and low beam, as well as a red light and red strobing. My brother is also pleased with this choice of modes and says that they will be ideal for both work and outdoor pursuits. My brother is very happy with this product and says he recommends, especially as currently it is under ยฃ19 to buy (at the time of this Amazon Vine review) so about ยฃ9.50 per headtorch. I will update this review should this product fail to last a reasonable length of time.

Good head torch twin pack
These torches are available as a single unit or as a twin pack.I have received the twin pack issue from Amazon Vine. These head torches require X3 AAA batteries. The battery compartment is located on the back and you have a fully adjustable strap to secure this to your head or hard hat. The torch is waterproof and offers multiple different lighting modes, which include white led/strobe and red led. I like the white light, less keen on the red light. It would have been nice to have an option to change the red lights on the side to white ones, like you can get with more sophisticated models. My rating is 4 Stars.

decent illumination, like the red and light switches
I do a lot of both outdoor and indoor night time where its good to have a head torch, rather than the mainlights on. I like this one for the red and light switches and the easy cycling through the modes- though I got to say that there are modes on these things that you probably will never use. A flashing sos for example, you are far better off with a loud whistle on a mountain because your batteries will almost inevitably run flat long before anyone ever finds you. but I like this one for the separate red and white light switches- red light perfect for getting up in the night whilst camping or operation of radio or such like in a room or tent,
