I’ve never used Midori products before but have been aware of their stellar reputation for some time. Decided to get one of these little journals to see how it compares to the Leuchttrum and Moleskine journals I’ve used before and I have to say this is an awesome journal! Paper quality is great and the whole journal feels like it’s great quality and not cheap feeling like some off brand or even mainstream brands you might see elsewhere. Doesn’t come with the page numbering, index page, or archiving stickers like Leuchttrum but for less than half the price, it is a great minimalistic, high quality journal. I wish Amazon had more variety for sizes from Midori but I’ll definitely be getting more of these notebooks in the future.

Great notebook if you use fountain pen or any other type of pen/pencil. Great feedback, “classic” Midori pen-on-paper sound, does not bleed through despite relative thinness of the paper. Dot grid is a winner. Graph paper variant is great too: very useful while being unobtrusive.

Wasn’t sure what to expect but heard great things about this notebook. It is even more perfect then I could have imagined, the paper quality is great for both lead & ink. The cover is sturdy but also flexible enough that it’s easy to toss in my bag. I did get the plastic case that is available separately but I can’t recommend it enough! I just started using the notebook but I can tell the case is going to add to the longevity while also letting me customize the outside in a way that is totally interchangeable!! This is the only notebook I want to use for the rest of my life! 🙌

Affordable, high quality, attention to detail, perfect for fountain pens, what’s not to love.

It’s a really good notebook. I jus wish the paper was a little thicker because you can see pen and markers through the paper. I like it as a bujo tho.

I wish that I had this notebook throughout all of my college days. I got the leather cover from midori to go with it and its absolutely immaculate. It makes you want to take notes in it all day.

It opens flat, dots are not too dark, and easy to write.

I love using Midori’s grid notebooks and never knew they made horizontal lined ones. This is made just like those and I love it already :)

El papel es excelente para uso con pluma fuente. Como referencia diré que es muy similar a Tomoe River. El encuadernado y los detalles muy bien logrados.

Love this notebook, it works well with my fountain pen. The pages doesn't bleed but you can still see ink on the other side, which I don't mind. The ink doesn't feather either. I love the blue dots, sometimes I don't really see it so it's great. So it provides the structure of lined pages, without the lines, if that makes sense. 10/10 recommend.

I just love these books! Great paper and binding

This is the best paper I have ever tried; works like a charm on fountain pens (I use LAMY safari and diamine ink). Works also for glass pens and dip pens but I am not an expert on writing with those tools!Best quality!

I use it as a bullet journal - it's a great journal for this purpose. It looks minimal, opens and stays open without any issue. Wish I had bought more than one when it was available.
