S.M.S.L DA-9 Bluetooth 5.0 NJW1194 Hi-Res Audio Power Amplifier

Not much to say apart from if you are thinking of buying this, don't hesitate :-) Inexpensive. Silly low price. BARGAIN! Excellent sound quality (amplifies what you put in without any colouring). Goes very loud if you must. Kind to the environment - uses ridiculously little electricity. Bluetooth works well. Balanced input at £200?? What's not to like. Only issue I've found is that the SMSL remote interferes with my RME ADI-2 DAC - sends commands to the DAC (volume down, for example, engages Auto Dark; volume up mutes the DAC - ironic). Still, most of the time I have the SMSL on balanced input and about 50% volume to power Wharfedale Diamond 230s. No need to use the remote as I can adjust volume on the RME DAC using it's remote (which does not talk to the SMSL - the RME is German and behaves itself). The German Infineon chips inside the SMSL are things of wonder. How they operate is a mystery. Anyway, the SMSL DA-9 is an excellent class D amplifier - highly recommended if you are using the XLR inputs. RCA works fine. Bluetooth works well.

Have this paired with the SU-9 DAC running efficient klipsch speakers and sounds good. First one blew the PSU after a few hours at very low listening levels. Ordered replacement and sent damaged back for refund. Quick delivery. It’s not feature heavy but works well in this particular setup. Screen can’t be turned off, only dimmed so quite annoying in a dark room. Didn’t affect Sound quality though. Happy with it in my chosen setup

After seeing many great reviews online, I bought one of these little amps. Wow, really impressive- does everything I need it to and does it well. Used to power my Kef LS50 Meta’s, paired with the SU-9 DAC in a lovely little 2 tier stack, the sound is clean, transparent and has great resolution. Next additions will be both the SN-9 and SH-9, as I am so sold on this line…

Connected to computer for sound playback through small pair of Ariston monitors and a Yamaha sub-woofer - very clean, full and lively sound - very impressed from such a small unit. Great to operate from control knob, or from remote. Strong Bluetooth reception.

Particularly from such a compact Class D amplifier. Highly recommended.

A good little amp for the money, I attached a raspberry pi to it and it doesn't sound too bad :-)

It's good amplifier as for 200 pounds. But it doesn't show proper performance. It is slow and had bad bass control. I've been waiting for two weeks expecting the amplifier would gonna run in and a sound would become just a little better. The other amplifier from this manufacturer sa300 is much better and cheaper.

Les+ le grave le grave le grave...au top Les - le manque de vie sur les musiques acoustiques Conclusion: si vous écoutez de la musique moderne cet ampli est vraiment top surtout pour son prix En revanche si vous voulez de la vie de la matière des nuances cet ampli n est pas a recommander. Faites votre choix...

Een fijn en mooi klinkende amp, maar er doet zich steeds vaker een probleem voor. Na elke luistersessie schakel ik de amp uit en wanneer ik hem weer aan zet blijft het apparaat regelmatig hangen op het opstartscherm. Dus ben ik genoodzaakt het product te uit het stroom te halen en weer te verbinden om de amp weer goed aan te zetten.

Ive had it for a few years now and this is the endgame for me. Powers speakers and a sub to concert levels loud, no disortion, sounds same as the most expensive amps and has BT functionality. I paired it with an audio switcher to go between vinyls, tv and tube preamp.
