We have enjoyed playing this but it took quite awhile for us to learn it, and we wouldn't try to teach it to some because of that. We play Catan a lot, and this is a nice alternative.

Purchased Sept 2020 shipped to Oz and can confirm they are shipping the 3rd Edition/Printing.

Fun game with plenty of variables to keep it interesting. Set up can be a bit tedious and the solo variant is okay. The solo game is more of a race than the multi-player game. I would recommend it.

The game is great, however, the box was damaged. See pictures attached.

Euro Games is my hobby, my passion. I check the YouTube Reviews before purchasing. BGG Top 100? And Amazon finally dropped the price? I'm game. Only to be disappointed with 2 things: One is component quality. Card quality and cardboard quality is terrible. For such a game, you expect more and better. I really disliked the materials. 2nd, a huge learning curve. My spouse likes to read the rulebook top-to-bottom. Fine. But this took us 2 hours to read, and we still could NOT adapt to it. I love Great Western Trail, I have all 3 of them. I will play them anytime, anywhere. But this is an entire 3 levels over it. I would NEVER bring this game to the table. I have a few others that take a long setup, but you are on and going quickly. This is just a beast of a game. We never gave it a chance, we boxed it and sent it back. I wanted to love it, but with my 150+ games collection this would NEVER be played again.
