If you’re doing vintage guitar builds, then this is what you want!
If you’re looking at this product to refinish an older guitar or you’re looking to “relic” a modern player, well, look no further. I bought this to hopefully match a “classic vibe” Squier neck that I was using on a custom built “Tele.” The neck felt great & had that vintage look I wanted, but I wanted it for one of a few boutique Telecaster builds I was working on. Took some tries to sand & match the original finish & I’m still dialing it in, but it gives a pretty close match to the rest of the neck. Hoping to have that build done soon. Well, my desire to be a boutique Tele builder grew faster than expected & I picked up a MIM Tele that needed a lot of work. It had a bad blister in the nitro on the backside, so I decided to “relic” it since the blister was worse than anticipated. Sanded in some wear marks, cleaned up the blister with sanding, & decided to use the rattle can to age it. Sprayed it on my fingers (with a surgical glove) & gently rubbed it onto the sanded parts. Results?! It aged the recently “relic” wood, brought out the grain, & is looking perfectly aged to match the factory Fender vintage neck! It’s gorgeous! Very impressed & plan to use it more while building my custom “Whiskey Workshop Guitars.” Plus, I looked to order first from Stewmac, then saw reviews that said it showed up fast from the Amazons. Rolled the dice (it was a few bucks cheaper on Amazon) & it showed up a few days later even though the expected date was a couple of weeks later. I cannot tell you how impressed I am with this product! When I get my builds completed in the next few weeks, I will launch Whiskey Workshop Guitars on the Facebook & you can see the results for yourself. For now, you just gotta take my word.

True, Rich, Nitro Colors
Absolutely essential for recreating the exact colors found on your American made guitars made in association with one Lester Paul! They have a couple different colors of the black and shouldn’t have an issue in deciphering which one is suitable. My first introduction was for a Gibson SG Supreme nonetheless and found the color to be exact and rich. Please note, if you wish to maintain the integrity of the serial number, cover it up after the first coat with painters tape then blend it upon wet sanding.

Superior product!
Excellent to apply to the neck of my Takamine guitar. Perfect color and texture match. I will definitely buy again if needed for this guitar or others. Very fast shipping a couple days faster than was anticipated.

StewMac - that basically says it all! Just perfect.
I could copy paste this review for anything from StewMac. I've been shopping with them for years and years! Customer service is beyond outstanding. If there's a problem they take care of it, If it wasn't even remotely their fault, they still take care of it. Rare to see such a committed Make the Customer Happy policy! As for this lacquer.... it is professional grade and I get professional results. It is not the cheapest and it performs like a premium product. Please don't skimp on paints and clears - it is never worth the savings. Buy the good stuff - and this is the good stuff. If you aren't practiced spraying lacquer, please research it, practice on scrap first, and most importantly USE A PROPER MASK! This lacquer is more than up to the task of a top grade finish - the end result is at this point up to the technique and skill of the person using it.
