Easy to install, fits perfectly and works great!
I bought this to connect to my 2018 Explorer harness that is pre-wired for trailer lighting/power to the back of the car. I was very happy to learn that these harness adapters existed as i have had to run wires from the front to the back in the past.I did not use the 7 pin connector that came with this harness as I wanted to use a "sealed" connector that is both 7 and 4 pin on it and is more heavy duty at nearly the same size so I can't speak to the others issues about following color guides.

May not give all functions with your vehicle
While this harness has all 7 wires and the correct plugs, it may not provide all functions. It seems the Ford Explorers and the Ford PI Utility have the harness plug this plugs in-line with, but that harness does not support the reverse light, trailer brake, and 12v+ function of the 7-way unless the vehicle came from the factory with the trailer package.My issue is, why would someone need this harness if their vehicle had a factory trailer harness??? Just FYI

Not a good value, difficult to install, wrong wiring markings on connector
Disliked Quality for price. Instructions are not easy to follow. Additional research needed to install properly.
