Does anyone elses just run continuously when there is not even motion?

No it should not run continuously its motion sensored. I live in the Antelope Valley and it is very windy and therefore the trees branches and other plants move with the Wind and so does my owl but other than that it doesn't move unless there are people walking around it or animals

Does it scare chipmunks and squirrels? There eatting my roses they have sentimental value for from my son that passed away.

Not at all, in my case, even during the one week it was actually working. It works equally well (or poorly) regardless of whether it is operating at all. I returned mine. Good luck.

Would it be possible to put this on a patio to keep mice and pack rats away at night?

Realistically I’m afraid it would not. Mine did not last long enough to do anything before it stopped working and I had to return it. The motion detector portion was not sufficiently sensitive to even be triggered Buy a mouse or a rat, in my opinion. Sorry I could not be more positive about this product but it certainly did not work for me.

Where can I buy a replacement for lithium battery. Mine died after 2 months!

Well, all I can say is that mine died after one day. I use it as is as a deterrent for the scrub jays and it still works OK for that.But I don't know where to get another battery. I am so disgusted with the thing that I may never get a new battery
