Out of the box they didn’t have much of a smell, but once I washed it one time, it came out with a very strong chemical smell. I washed it a second time and dried it to see if the smell would go away but it did not. I washed it 2 more times and the smell decreased but didn’t go away. After washing it 5 times, I can still find that smell but it’s getting fainter. The question remains as to what that chemical is and if it’s harmful. The whole point of getting this was to get the healthiest, most chemical free comforter to get away from polyester and pesticides. This comforter is is too expensive to not solve the problem of getting only healthy and natural materials into your bed. Update: The manufacturer told me the smell is lanolin, which is produced by the sheep's sebaceous glands.

We were excited to buy this wool comforter, but all the snaps to secure the sides were not operational and the wool comforter started bunching up after a few days of use. We had two of the inserts put together. Sad to have to return. This is a great concept with options for cooler or warmer weather.

There is nothing right about the order I received! I ordered a pack of 2 duvet, but got 1. It supposed to be Delara but it's no name stuff. It's supposed to be cotton shell but it's synthetic. It supposed to be washable but it's dry clean only. It supposed to be nicely made duvet but it's piece of something I don't want to write it in here. Very disappointed. Requested a refund but haven't heard anything yet.
