Technically, yes, although it was not made for that use. Here are some caveats: Do not store food in seasoned iron, and especially foods high in moisture as it can rust the iron. Never place a cold skillet straight to heat, and never anything straight from heat into a cold surface or environment. Allow it to reach room temperature on its own. Do not put in freezer or fridge for extended times as the moisture in the environment can cause rust with prolonged exposure.
