Very easy to install and looks fantastic! I love the finish, the quality is great, and the way it adjusted to my original handle was convenient. I do have to reinforce my door frame but other than that everything is sturdy and feels safe enough. Great purchase and I do highly recommend! Side note* the lock pad is from a different manufacturer but the Schlage handle matches perfectly with it!

Highest quality necessary, good weight and very stylish for a classic look. Schlage is always a trustworthy brand. Worth the extra few bucks over the cheapo alternatives on here, this product will last a lifetime! Direct replacement for our 20 y/o one that the finish finally wore off. So easy to install and has smooth functionality;includes matching catch plates in both black and Venetian bronze. The color is perfect, and the grip is very comfortable on the outside and inside.

Replacing a 10 year old kwikset handle with failing internals. Since I was switching brands, installation required a quick drilling with a 5/16" bit, but even so was a 15-minute operation. Much nicer and heavier - definitely more secure in the hand, with a much more positive feeling in both the interior knob and the external latch. Note: If you are converting from a kwikset, it is very easy to do. You drill through the hole where the lower portion of the kwikset handle was screwed into your door. The Schlage lower screw set adjusts almost 3/4" to accommodate the existing hole, and you secure from the inside with a screw, and cover the screw with a cap. You don't even have to measure for the hole -- just use the existing kwikset hole (presuming it was drilled in line correctly in the first place) and drill through to the interior. Edit March 2025: Still using this door latch, and after seven years I have had to do exactly nothing to it since installation. The internals still move smoothly and cleanly and it looks as good now as it did seven years ago. Couldn't be happier.

This is for our entry door. We bought this to replace a keyed lockset maybe 40 years old. We have never used the key feature since we have a deadbolt. At the same time we replaced the old deadbolt with the Schlage BE365 CAM 505 in the same finish. The handle feels very solid and the latch works smoothly. Installation was straightforward except you have to be careful when drilling holes to assure that the handle is vertical. Vertical spacing is easy. You attach the bottom of the handle with a screw from the inside. This screw threads into a small plate that slides up and down a reasonable amount, so you don't need to have the perfectly correct spacing between the hole for the latch and the lower handle connection. You will need a 2-1/8 in diameter hole for the latch assembly. Since my door had the common 1-7/8 hole, I had to enlarge the hole with a hole saw. I made pre-drilled guides out of thin pieces of paneling wood to keep the hole saw steady while widening the old hole. A paper template is provided, but I didn't use it because of some unusual features of my door. I think most would find it helpful. Unless you are unusually strong, you will still need the pre-cut guide to keep the hole saw from "walking" during drilling. I used a couple of "C" clamps to keep the wooden guide from shifting. The finished product looks and feels first class.

So easy to install. Was done replacing my existing Schlage unit in under ten minutes. Why did I live with the other one being hard to work so long? Works fantastic.

This product is for 50mm hole. My door is 70mm. It can't fit in. How do I remedy the situation.
