I have fairly oily hair, so is there anything that helps with that in the transition while my hair gets used to this shampoo bar?

I also have oily hair and this bar did not have a transition period.  I don't know why but it makes my hair thick and full but not oily.  It's my favorite bar.  I have tried another brand and it did make my hair oily but this did not.  Good luck!

Approximately how many washings does it last for? (and what's your hair length)

I purchased the bar in January..I wash my hair twice a week I stil have at least three more wash..it leathers up good ..I have natural shoulder length hair that will become extremely tangled..after using the shampoo I can comb my hair much easier and it's true you may not need a conditioners..however I do a leave anyway!..the bar is better than any liquid shampoo I've used.

why is that when i use this it leaves my hair so oily and waxy ? i have used acv and no acv but still got the same results :(

I've been using this for a long time, and I have hard water. I found a couple times that my hair was left with a residue. To avoid the post-wash "waxiness" I discovered I have to 1) make sure I lather it up really well and 2) really make sure it is all rinsed well. When I do both those things, this product works fantastically. Not sure of the science behind my findings, but this is what I found. Note there is no wax in the product - it's just saponified oil.
