This set came with very thorough instructions and every item you could’ve needed— mixing spoons, gloves, plastic sheet to work on, filing sticks, fine grit sandpaper, tons of accessories. My 5 year old daughter and I completed this and it turned out absolutely perfect. There were some bubbles that got stuck in the underside of our hand, but the instructions explicitly state to gently drop the bucket to a surface and tap the sides of the bucket to try to bring any bubbles to the surface. Additionally, it states to reserve a little of the casting powder to fill in any imperfections— highly recommend doing that. The detail is incredible, between the natural imprints of skin, the fingernail, my rings. I definitely had to take a lot of time after the fact to file over the details but doing that immediately after taking out of the mold allows the casting to be easily manipulated since it’s still “wet”. While the cost of this kit may seem like a lot, it’s honestly on track with most other kits out there and it comes with a beautiful plaque to mount if desired. Not to mention, this kit allows you to capture a moment in time to preserve forever. That in itself is invaluable.

I give it to my friends for their wedding gift. Has probably displayed in their home. I know they had a lot of fun, making the mold and creating a product that is solely theirs and long lasting to remember their special day.

Ordered this for fun after watching a few viral videos, and it ended up being as fun as we expected! The instructions were easy to follow, and the entire process was fairly swift. There wasn't a big mess left behind, which was nice as well. Overall, good value for the money to spend about an hour with a friend.

You have to be able to be completely still for the duration of the process. Don’t waste your money if you can’t stand still for the entire time, it will not work! My husband could not stand still.

So for our first time. It did come out OK. but I can say. You're only suppose to use 300 ml of water. There's aeauring cup included. I had to use about 6 of those 300 ml cups There's no way one cup was enough. It didn't even moisture the powder. So. After I mixed it with extra water. We put our hands in. Honestly. We didn't think we were going to have any success. Your suppose to put your hands in after 90 seconds of mixing. I had to mix 2-3 minutes. But we put our hands in. Set an alarm for 6 minutes. 6-10 minutes. After 6 minutes. My husband pried his hand from mine. Then I pulled my hand out. When I mixed the plaster I used my gloved hand. A lot easier than the spoons. Poured it in and waited four hours. Then we had to get it out. I couldn't so I sent my husband in. He got it out exactly how it said to. I peeled away the mold. Surprisingly not to hard. Rinsed it. Hubby is going to sand a few rough spots. I'm ordering some bronze craft paint and it should be nice. I have 3 stars because you need A LOT more water for the mold. But! It was fun and came out a lot better than I thought it would.

This came out really nicely! I liked how they provided a smaller version to test it out first. The finished statue is beautiful and eye catching, and even has veins and fingerprints on it! The one thing I'd do differently - our hands were not quite touching in places, which made it hard to get out the filler once the statue was cast.

Great kit, worked super good. Be careful about hair ! If you have hair around your hand, shave it before doing that.
