I think everyone deserves to know what size the plant is and how to care for it.
If this survives, and I will do my best to see it does I'll be satisfiedl. I do think a little more could have been done to protect it. FYI, the temporary pot at it's widest is 6", at the tallest it reaches 13". See pictures. It was shipped enclosed protected by foam, peanuts. It had no this side up, not that my postman had a choice but to laid on its side in my case. However the peanuts would not have stopped it from being stood on it's head and falling or settling 7" to the end of the carton vertically. Iif the mailbox or stoop or whatever was used allowed that, and I'm convinced up side down would or could have led to breakage of the primary stem because the packing material protected only the sides not the top nor would it prevent the lengthwise movement. To those of you receiving in hot climates get it out of your exposed or enclosed mailbox ASAP or it will be cooked by the ambient heat in an such a place if left there. In Arizona I expect that and so I check my box quickly when I have something like this coming in. In PHX today it will go past 110°, and while it's not that hot here (about 92°) this shipment reached me through vehicles going into and out of PHX, not refrigerated, and with this carton in whatever orientation it was along for the ride. The outer carton was approx 6" x 6" x 20" There were no instructions for care and feeding in the carton or in the plant's base shrink wrap. I hope I will be able to find what I need to know on the internet in terms of feeding, and what the ambient light and temperature range should be. I don't know, and it's a gift and the recipient doesn't know either, so I hope we can find out, but IMHO the seller could print such information 4-up n a regular sheet of paper or less and include one of those in each shipment, that would be helpful for us novices and woldn't be that much trouble or expense. The plant fulfilled by Amazon was absolutely stunning! The third party purchase, not so much.
Ponytail bonsais are probably my favorite plant, and I love gifting it to people who I think are awesome. I bought one on May 4th for a friend's birthday. It was fulfilled by Amazon. The box was 24" high, by 15" by 12". The plant filled the box and wold have been nearly impossible to re-package, so I gave it to her in a large gift bag. My friend loved it, and it was so breathtaking, I ordered one for myself To take to work. Well, Amazon had none, but there were a couple of third-party sellers listing the same plant. So , I chose one with a strong rating; the costs of the two were comparable when I factored in shipping. Now, I understand we were on the heels of Mothers Day, but the quality difference between the Amazon plant and the third-party one was night-and-day. The second box was 22" high, by 7" by 6", and was rather disappointing. The trunk leans to one side, and "asymmetrical" and "scrawny" would be accurate descriptions of the tails. I had absolutely no trouble getting it back into the box so I could transport it to work.Whoever cultivated the first one (they have "Bonsai" in their company name) really knows how to grow awesome plants. I'd recommend trying for their product if possible. The first plant rated a strong five stars for outstanding, and the second plant rated three stars for average. So, I'm giving this product four stars.

Beautiful
Really easy to repot. Didn't need it but we were giving it as a gift so we wanted to have it a nicer pot. It did come in the wrong type of soil. It does need to be transferred to a tropical soil. This plant does not like to be watered it was really watered when we got it. It's a drought plant so it doesn't like a lot of water. But the plant itself is beautiful it was well packaged.

Ponytail Palm 🌴
Very impressed with the packaging, my main worry was soil falling out but to my surprise the entire pot was covered with a bag to hold in the soil. The ponytails are lush and green, there is some breakage but very minor.

The quality, the very best plant well worth what you pay.
Yes I can honestly tell you that I've really done my homework on this particular plant, That I Just Love By The Way....And let me tell you, there are very few people or stores should I say that carry them. And if they do like at Lowe's for instance I walked in and just wanted to see their selection, well they had some that were not even half this size for 15$to 30$. They were growing very crooked and weren't very healthy looking, then the step up was one size almost like this size but still smaller, and they wanted right at 50$ plus. The only other place I will give props to on this plant is Wal-Mart.com, and I'm going to show in the picture the reason I bought one from there is the way they had theirs planted. But I paid right at 40$ plus tax for it. I'm not complaining either I just wish the ones you get here on Amazon they would either have in a prettier pot or a bonsai pot like Wal-Mart does theirs. But still I love these from Amazon I have had about 15 people already inquire on how to get them some. I love that. I'm also a sucker for the lucky bamboo plants, all kinds of different themes. They are very pretty as well. Now remember the one on the left with two plants is the Bonsai potted plant from Wal-Mart.com
