I bought the 817 Elephant Thai Hom Mali White Jasmine Rice because I’m not living on cardboard-flavored grains, thank you very much. This stuff is the real deal. The aroma when it’s cooking hits first. It smells like, well, jasmine rice should smell, not like some bland filler pretending to be a starch. That scent alone makes you sit up and respect the dinner you’re about to have. The texture after cooking is perfect. Grains are soft but distinct, fluffy without turning into mush, and just right for scooping up sauces, curries, stir-fries, whatever your culinary vibe is. I even caught myself appreciating rice, which is frighteningly adult of me. It also cooks evenly every time. Follow the package instructions, and you don’t end up with half the pot crunchy and the other half like glue. Consistency matters and this rice gets it right. No funky aftertaste, no random hard kernels, just dependable, delicious jasmine rice that pairs well with just about anything. Overall, this isn’t just edible rice. It’s good rice. This is the kind of rice you can enjoy without anything else.
This rice is delicious by itself. Even though you have nothing to go along with it. Soft and fragrant. It is kinda like Japanese rice texture, just less chewy. It also goes along well with any dishes. I usually eat other brand, but once I found out the other brand has weevils, I switched to this one. This brand is more expensive but worth the taste. Clean, new crop rice.

This is very good rice. Just rinse it out 3-4 times and cook as usual. Great texture and flavor.

Great flavor and the packaging is great with a plastic bag inside the outer bag. May seem like a small thing but helps stay fresh.

This rice is a dream to cook with and eat.
I love the brand. But the amount of bugs is extreme. I have never dealt with a full blown infestation in my rice. Rinse at least 8 times!
