Women's Convertible Wrap - UPF 50+ Sun Protection - Revilla

very versatile and compact piece. having buttons makes it nice in that it stays on vs a shawl that you have to hold in place. added bonus to be upf and protect from the sun! will be part of my air travel bag for cold planes.

Very nice fabric and convertible into many styles. Unbuttoned completely it can be a scarf or used as a like blanket on the plane. You can button one side or both sides to make it into a poncho style or cape or too cover your arms and protect them from the sun. I like the grey as it will go with every color and pattern, but won’t show smudges as much. I plan to use this on vacations and cruises as I can wear it in the sun for protection or as an extra layer for warmth, and easy to pack.

The sizing on this is deceiving. Is it long/wide? Yes. But which way are they listing as the length vs with was my problem. The image made me believe this was much wider than it was if I was to wear it as shown from front to back over the shoulders. When you drape it over you like you would any blanket or shawl you will get the coverage that you see in the model shown, where the shawl goes close to the waist. I am 199 and 5’8” for reference. If you chose to wear it like this you will be able to cover an adult back and probably most of an adult neck but that’s about it. Now for the “length”. That would be wrist to wrist in this case, which it would cover in an adult. There are buttons on this shawl. There are sets t both ends of the shawl. I received my shawl buttoned together. If you laid the shawl flat and folded it lengthwise (so you had one long thin piece) you would button each end to itself. Then, put your arms through each end. Doing this is supposed to allow you to cover your arms and shoulders. Again, I am 199 and 5’ 8”. There is no way that this works for me. Can I physically put it on? Yes. Does it cover me adequately? Maybe? Is it functional? Not at all. UV test- I did test for UV, including UVC. There was no UV reading through the scarf at all. Air flow/temperature. There is not really much air flow under this scarf. It is very stifling and hot to have on. Overall, I did not like it. I could see this as being beneficial for a younger child on a beach during a cooler time when UV is high enough to warrant a cover. Ultimately I returned this item. I did not feel that it was at all close to what was described in this listing and I was not able to use it at all.

I have sun protective clothes in many forms but always have problems such as- Cardigans: neck not protected, gets over heated Scarf/wrap: Simply falls off Poncho: gets clumsy with a backpack when hiking This one has many ways of wearing it, so light and cool to touch, neck can be protected, only arms can be covered... so versatile!! We also use it for covering legs while driving and covering car seats under the sun. I highly recommend this wrap!

I bought this primarily as sun protection when out and about, and haven't had the chance to test its UPF effectiveness as yet. The button-or-not-button thing takes some getting used to since it is loosely shaped in terms of where your neck and arms go... but once it's on, it's cozy without being too warm.

I keep this wrap in my car to shield the sun on my arms and legs while driving as well as using it as a coverup if out in the sun. I especially like the buttons as the wrap can be secured and not fall off. I do not feel hot while using this - actually feels cool while using it. I am pleased with my purchase.

I disregarded the reviews that said this was too short because I have short arms and figured I'd be fine. Alas, even on me this is a clumsy medium size instead of a nice full sized drape of a wrap. When something is convertible, more fabric is better than less in order to maximize the actual usability, and this (no pun intended) falls short of expectations. The buttons too are abysmal - they're very large and stand out more than I'd prefer for such utilitarian, basic plastic buttons to on already bland fabric. If you're goingwith basic plastic buttons, why not use a smaller version instead of one that's so in your face? They also don't go all the way to the edge, so if you make a shoulder shrug with the buttons, the edges towards your wrists/mid- forearms (bc again, this is pretty short fabric) flap open rather clumsily. I generally like Coolibar but this seems like such a shoddy version of a convertible wrap, and it's disappointing to see from a brand that otherwise generally melds sophisticated design with UV protection.

The convertible wrap is very versatile and can be worn several ways. Perfect for me.
