Samsung 9500S Rear Speaker Kit - Wireless Dolby Atmos/DTS: X (SWA-9500S, 2021 Model), Black

I really wanted to complete the home theater set in my living room with these rear speakers since I already have Samsung TV, soundbar & woofer. For reference, the TV was Q60A, soundbar was Q700A, and rear speakers are 9500s. The connection was extremely easy. Items in the box: 2 speakers and two power cords. No connection cord between two speakers is needed. I simply followed the instructions by turning on the ID setting on the soundbar and boom, the two speakers were connected. At first the volume of the speakers sounded low, I couldn't find a way to adjust them unfortunately. For some reason I couldn't find them on the SmarThings App. But later I realized it really depends on the audio source (has to be 5.1 Dolby Atmos I think) and the soundbar mode. Make sure you set it as eArc Surround. I tested Netflix movies and video games. What comes out of the rear speakers and the volume of it really depends on the audio source. And it does create a surrounding spatial experience. However, given the price of these speakers and how much difference it made on top of the soundbar, I would think the soundbar itself is sufficient enough. But I do enjoy the premium experience so I'm gonna keep them. UPDATE SAME DAY OF THE REVIEW I found out how to control the rear speakers volume and it’s amazing how everything works together now. I can hear clearly from these two rear speakers. Even normal YouTube video or talk shows. I didn’t connect them to smart things app. they’re controlled by the soundbar using the soundbar remote. Press the gear button on the remote, scroll through until Rear Level, wait for the texts scrolling completely, a number will show up. Then press up button (not push up the volume up, but the up button on the wheel) to increase the volume. Thanks whoever posted in the review section originally!

This SWA-9500S rear speaker kit is a must-have for anyone rocking a Samsung Q800, Q700, or Q600 soundbar! If your soundbar starts with a "Q" and ends with an "A," "B," "C," or "D" (like my Q800D!), you're good to go – it's compatible with all 2021 and newer Q-series soundbars. My Q800D soundbar is fantastic on its own, especially with the Q-Symphony feature on my Samsung TV. Q-Symphony really broadens the soundstage, particularly for the center channel. However, as a true cinema buff , however,I always felt like something was missing. The SWA-9500S speakers completely filled that gap! 🎉 Now, all the sounds that should be coming from behind me are actually there! My Q800D already has two up-firing speakers, and the SWA-9500S adds another two! This makes the height effects so much more convincing. They're not quite as good as dedicated ceiling speakers, but they make a huge difference. This is an amazing product, but setup is key! I've seen lots of comments about enabling the "Group Sound" feature. Personally, I prefer it off. My guess is that "Group Sound" is better suited for music listening, not movies. Rear speakers aren't meant to be constantly loud; you should only really notice them during Atmos content when there are sounds specifically designed for the rear channels. That's why they're called rear speakers! 😉 To really maximize the rear sound, I turned down the volume of all the soundbar channels in the SmartThings app and cranked up the volume on the rear speakers and rear front speakers almost to the max. This made a world of difference! The setup was incredibly easy. I just plugged in the speakers, turned on my soundbar, pressed the "up" button on the wheel until "ID Set" was enabled, and boom! They connected automatically! ✨ So, if you have a compatible Samsung soundbar and you're a big fan of Atmos movies, you need these speakers. They're totally worth the investment!

These are the most basic speakers. The computer speakers I got for $100 less sound 100xs better. I got the 930f samsung soundbar and was so excited to add these to the mix but truly is just a waste on money. It's sad that this is the only kit that works with my specific soundbar, otherwise I'd certainly but something else. Since they have a monopoly on the set up, it's this or nothing.

*IMPORTANT UPDATE: Plug your HDMI to your content watching device to the back port of the Samsung sound bar for HDMI Out and then use another HDMI cable and connect it to the back of the soundbar to the eARC port to your TV’s eARC HDMI port. Doing this will correctly setup Dolby Atmos making the speakers volume and quality 100% better.* I bought these as a gift for my parents for their Samsung surround sound bar. I’ve wanted these speakers for them for a while and as a Christmas present I finally got them. I decided to open them up and give them the speakers early to make sure they worked and WOW! They’re amazing. Both a main speaker and a speaker on top to really give you that quality sound you wanna hear. Then going into a surround sound movie, we all had our first hear at a true surround sound experience. You can hear the sound movie from the main sound bar back to the rear speakers. Half the time we think something’s outside because sounds from the rear speakers are coming out and we forget they’re there. I’ve never tried a surround system before but so far I’m really happy with these speakers and so are my parents. Another great aspect of these speakers is the one cord that comes out from them, the power cord. No wires you have to run across the room or anything of any kind of a mess. The sound also doesn’t seem to be affected by the wireless aspect of the rear speakers. The sound is immediate and there’s no delay. If you’re thinking about wanting a real surround sound experience and have the correct compatible Samsung sound bar, I completely recommend these even for their price. Just wait for them to go on sale like I did and you’ll be happy.

Great speakers and pairs well with my Q800B soundbar! If you are using a Q800 soundbar with a Q-Symphony compatible Samsung TV, it sounds great, however, we keep ours in a large great room that diminishes its "surround" even with the settings high. After adding the 9500S rear speakers we noticed a big difference in sound quality. With Dolby Atmos (up-firing sound) built into the rear speakers, you feel immersed into the sound - 5 STARS! The reason why I gave this a 4 star rather than a 5 star is because of the power cords. You only get a 5ft power cord (2x) for both speakers. Its nice they included it, BUT I find them too short as our speakers are on a stand and they are centered in the room with no nearby outlets. If you do not have an outlet behind your rear speakers, get yourself an 8ft+ 2 prong power cord and/or extension cords.

I have an Samsung 800f soundbar and was somewhat disappointed and was considering the 990D which has been on sale recently. Wasn't sure if I should dish out more or get the 990D. Well just hooked up these 9500s and found that they made a huge difference. Definitely more better experience watching movies. Set up straight forward with no issues, basically plug and play. Going to keep the 800f!

Got this to pair with a q7c soundbar (costco version of q700) and g7 monitor. Reviews are true, barely any sound comes from these speakers. I have the fronts set to minus 6 and the rears set to plus 6 and it is barely useable. Luckily it is used in a small room with the speaker only a couple of feet from me but in a larger room, forget about it, you will never hear them. Maybe if I had a higher up soundbar with the room correction feature it would kick the speaker up more. These replaced a 5.1 system I drove through my PC and the rears were really distinguishable in that set up but a lot more subtle with this soundbar. the reason for the soundbar is because my monitor has a tv tuner built in that presents 4k content much better than my PC and the stock tv speakers sort of suck. These speakers costs more than my soundbar but the soundbar really needed them to fill the side and rear surround that's non existent in a 3.1 system. To make these sound better samsung needs to give us more manual tuning options. They can hide it, like 20 rapid clicks on the Disney+ button and opens a new menu.

But if you are using 230v you have to use 110v converter. Seller mentioned wall mount included but nothing received. But over all sound effects is great.

Enceintes d'excellente qualité avec une très belle finition. Je n'ai eu aucun problème pour la connexion Bluetooth avec la barre de son Samsung HW-Q800F. Pour ajuster le volume, on doit prendre l'application SmartThings de Samsung et l'installer sur notre cellulaire. Il faut allumer la barre de son et les enceintes arrières pour ajuster leur volume dans l'application SmartThings. J'ai mis deux copies d'écran. Une fois dans l'application SmartThings, il faut prendre "Niveau de canal" (voir première image). Par la suite, SmartThings présente plusieurs barres d'ajustement de volume. Pour les enceintes arrières, les deux barres du bas permettent d'ajuster le volume (voir deuxième image). J'utilise les enceintes arrières lors des événements sportifs et l'écoute de films. Pour le reste du temps, les enceintes arrières sont déconnectées. Pour les utiliser à nouveau, il suffit de les connecter dans la prise de courant et après quelques secondes, la connexion Bluetooth se fait avec la barre de son. Je recommande ces enceintes pour ajouter du plaisir d'écoute. Ils permettent de mieux entendre les sons de moyenne et de haute fréquence près de nos oreilles. Cela nous rapproche de l'action !

Compatibles con la barra de sonido HW-S800B/ZX , muy fáciles de emparejar con la barra , sube mucho la calidad realzando sonidos que antes no del todo eran perceptibles ,mejora mucho la acústica de la sala, el volumen de las bocinas es sutil y puede variar del tipo de película o música, por lo que si compras estas bocinas esperando tener un antro en tu casa y el vecino escuche tu escandalo, te comento que no es el producto para ti, al menos para mi barra, cualquier tipo de configuración, estándar, juego, adaptivo, funciona y se escucha bien, cuando la película tiene sonido dolby atmos el sonido se convierte en un espectáculo, recomiendo poner a diferentes volúmenes en la configuración de la barra, para que el efecto de cine sea todavía más perceptible y para la cuestión de la música se escucha excelente en especial para cumbias y salsa, pero si tienes servicios de sonido de alta fidelidad como tidal o deezer , sutilmente si notarás la mejora

Excelentes para configurar un sistema Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 con una barra Samsung HW-Q800F. Quizás un poco costosas, pero son muy buenas y cumplen perfecto su propósito.

Produit bien emballé, produit fidèle à la description. Je suis très satisfait du produit et avec quelques recherches, il est possible d'ajuster le son à partir de l'application SmartThings de Samsung, beaucoup plus facile qu'avec la barre de son.
