BaerCave Char Cloth

The ability to effectively use Char Cloth to start a kindling nest or bundle on fire, then build it into a large, warming, protecting campfire or transport a glowing ember to another location to use to start a campfire there is one of the basic bushcraft skills a survivalist needs to be able to perform over and over successfully. The Char Cloth produced and sold by this seller is hands-down one of the very best I have had the pleasure of using. Packed inside a small heavy-duty zip-lock bag, each of the twenty (20) very generously sized 2" x 2" up to 2-3/8" sheets of this Char Cloth were uniformly charred a deep black color and were fairly flexible, rather than being too brittle to handle (which I have found with some of the Char Cloth being sold by a few sellers). To test this Char Cloth's ability to catch a spark or flame and create and hold a glowing ember on its surface, I cut nine small pieces from a sheet of this Char Cloth. I then used a Fire Piston, a Flint and Steel, a Fero Rod and Steel Striker, A UST BlastMatch, a UCO Stormproof Match, a regular wooden Camping Match, a BIC Butane Lighter, a Butane Torch Lighter, and a Tesla Arc Flameless Lighter to see if, and how well each of these ignition sources worked to create a glowing ember on a piece of this Char Cloth. All nine ignition sources quickly and easily generated a glowing red ember on its small piece of this Char Cloth. I did not try to use a Bow Drill to create an ember for the Char Cloth since I already had nine other ways that don't require as much physical effort as a Bow Drill to achieve the same result.In addition to producing a product of excellent quality and quantity and selling it at a very affordable price, this seller, Baer Cave, shipped my order very quickly. In the world of Amazon.com, it doesn't get much better than what I received and experienced with this transaction. It will be a while before I'll be needing more Char Cloth, but when I do, I will absolutely look for this seller to order more of this exceptional Char Cloth.
