After spending hundreds of dollars at the Vet without much success, I am so grateful to have found this topical spray. This spray not only works, it has completely healed my Chihuahua’s skin infection. When I purchased this spray, I was in tears because, my poor little girl's skin was so red and inflamed. She could not stop scratching and biting herself to the point of her having open wounds. I was at a complete loss of what to do so, I decided to look on Amazon and maybe just maybe I would be able to find an ointment or cream that could alleviate her redness and itching. I came across this topical spray and read as many reviews as I could and found heartbreaking stories similar to mine, and how this spray helped so many. There were also reviews with before and after pictures that really helped me in making my purchase. I want to thank everyone for your stories, reviews and pictures. My family and I moved last year to a very woodsy area from previously living by the beach. It is a beautiful area but, the bugs have been a problem. Lots of spiders, mosquitos, fleas, and so forth. That is when the problems began with our dog getting constant skin infections. We tried over the counter ointments and creams and they only worked for a little while. We went to the vet and that only helped for so long, until her skin got so bad, I just did not know what to do. My sister and her family shortly after also bought a home right next to us and her dogs also started to get skin problems. It was not pretty. Just want to give a brief history of what has happened. This summer things just turned for the worse and that is when I found this topical spray. As soon as I got the spray, I gave her a bath and then used the spray as directed each night. On the third day of using this spray, her itching was less and her skin was not as red. After the first week, her skin was healed, the redness and inflammation were gone and she stopped scratching. I wish I took before and after pictures. After the second week, her skin was like night and day. Her skin was back to its normal color, the wounds had healed but were not crusty, it was just amazing to me how well this worked. I then ordered the complete line of shampoo, rinse, ear cleanser and ear drops, all work very well together. Now, I am not using the spray because there are no more skin issues. But, I did order 3 bottles of the spray to always have on hand. I ordered a bottle for my sister and she had the exact same results as I did on her dogs. We are sharing the shampoo, rinse and ear cleanser/drops and her dog’s skin has completely healed. Purchasing this spray has been a true-life saver for my dog and my sister’s dogs. I would highly recommend this spray and the whole line of products to anyone that is having the same problems as we have had with our dogs. After reading all the reviews of this product, I opted to give it a try. We had nothing to lose, that's for sure. We have an 80 lb eight year old female yellow lab who suffers from severe skin allergies on her paws. Starting with the first spring thaw, her allergies begin and she starts chewing her paws (tops, bottoms, between the toes)incessantly until they're raw, open sores that bleed and get infected. This goes on and on until the first hard frost of the fall/winter. Over the years, we have spent so much money on vet bills, expensive prescription creams and pills to help our dog with her allergies (and the resulting problems) but nothing has helped -- until now. I can't say enough GOOD things about this product. I have been applying it (as directed) to the dog's hot spots and sores for one week now and I just had to write a review (which I never do). I am so glad I took the chance by trusting other reviewers who recommended this product. After the very first application I noticed marked improvement. After each subsequent application, I noticed more and more improvement in the appearance and overall health of her paws. Gone is the dark red inflammation and intense itching. When I say gone -- I mean 100% gone. The sores have healed up beautifully and she no longer chews at her feet! Her fur is growing back on the top of her paws, the sores are gone and the skin between her pads and toes is pale pink and healthy. For the first time in her sweet little life, our dog is finally 100% symptom-free! In addition, she has had no prescription allergy pills in a week -- which is a miracle in and of itself. Up until a week ago she was on 6 to 9 hydroxyzine allergy pills every single day and that dosage still didn't control her symptoms. The only thing I use for her now is the Zymox Topical Spray with Hydrocortisone. I use it as directed. When I first sprayed it on her very sick paws she'd flinch a little bit as though it stings but she didn't seem to be bothered by it after that. In the past, when I have applied potions or sprays that bother her, she will sneak away and lick it off. With the Zymox Topical Spray she doesn't lick it off later -- ever. It feels SO good to know that our dog is healed, happy and comfortable. Her peace is our peace. Our house will never be without this product as long as we have this dog (or any other dog with skin allergies).

Our Lab likes to clean his feet, but apparently he might have had a small injury to his RF pad and started cleaning it excessively. He developed a classic hot-spot on it, and could tell the amount of licking going on by the rust-color of the fur between his pads (saliva will discolor it). I bought the Zymox because we use their otic solution and it works so well on yeast in the ears. And I was not disappointed, Zymox came through again and after just 2 days of applying it twice a day, the hot spot was already no longer pink and was nice and dry. The rust color of the fur also was fading. It's still a struggle to keep him from licking it, but we just try to supervise him after application until it dries. Great product, and if the price is intimidating you, it's sure a lot cheaper and a lot less hastle compared to having to take your pup to the Vet!

Yeast suffering has vanished! After our cairn terrier had finished her antibiotics treatment for an unrelated procedure, she began to itch so badly she was gnawing at her skin creating raw wounds. Her normally white skin was completely red. She smelled pretty bad and not the normal dog smell, this is different. We did try another product as prescribed by the Vet and then another product here on Amazon called Curaseb which contains Chlorhexidine ( anti-yeast, anti-fungal, etc) but these did not help. However, this product: Zymox does contain 1% Hydrocortisone and let me tell you this has completely changed the game. her skin is no longer red. She is not biting, scratching, rolling on the floor 24/hrs per day like before the treatment. Now of course, I am not suggesting this is a cure for a systemic yeast infection, but this product will help with the itch. For the yeast we put her on a yeast starvation diet, which basically is a diet that removes all grains and sugar from her food so as not to "feed" the yeast. you can find a recipe via a google search. basically: fresh meat, eggs, special vitamins, vinegar. Also, please get a shampoo here on Amazon that is highly rated called DERMagic Peppermint & Tea Tree Oil Shampoo. The skin must be cleansed of the yeast and the tea tree oil is an anti fungal. it smells great. We were previously using a medicated shampoo from the Vet that was maybe working but not very effective(?) maybe it was but I switched to this following the new diet. Back to the Zymox: our terrier is small so this bottle will run out quickly I ordered another bottle as a back-up. For larger dogs like a Golden Retriever buy a few. The bottle was leaking upon delivery, they need to tighten down the cap before shipment. This is real review, I am not paid, and I purchased it with my own money. Hope your dog feels better!

I initially got this stuff because I have a cat that had rubbed his back under my coffee table (very clever) to the point where he bled. I had used peroxide on it to avoid infection but wanted to find something that would help with the itch. He seemed to always try to scratch there. I was also trying to avoid hundreds of dollars at the vet like most people. I read the reviews on this and decided it was worth a try. SO happy I did. I sprayed my cat twice a day for two days and it cleared up nearly 100%. I continued once a day for the remainder of the week because he had a scab and he had rubbed a lot of fur off. By the end of the week, it was completely healed. I have not had to use it on him since and his fur is back in that spot. I also use this on my dog who has a bad habit of chewing on his front legs and creating sores. Few sprays and clears it right up. Finally, if you can believe this, I have another cat that has skin allergies. He loses fur on his back end and gets dry scabs from it. He can get shots from the vet for it, again more money, and it helps for about 2 weeks. We feed him no grain food and tried salmon oil to help with the dryness, though he would not eat anything with the salmon oil believe it or not. Anyway, after this worked so well on my other cat I thought maybe I would try this on him. If anything, the hydrocortisone could help with the itch that he gets. Can I tell you that his allergies cleared up in just over a week!! I use it on him regularly since he has constant allergies. I am thrilled that I found this stuff!!

I purchased this for my cat who was excessively licking and grooming. She done this at times for several years when she has been exposed to allergens or over stressed. She hated me putting it on her, of course, but I sprayed it on my hands first and then applied to her areas. It seemed to help. She's been on prednisolone for several years and I have been trying to find something that is less of a health risk. Will continue to use when she has a problem. Recently my husband passed away, my son and young children were staying a while with me and she was over stressed. Also had some house construction going on and the allergens and stress made her worse than usual. Seems like a good product. Didn't cause any bad reactions for her. So I'm pleased with it

This works great! Our Scottie and his wee legs has some sort of allergy in August! Used hypoallergenic wipes and the spray twice a day and itching disappeared. 4 days later the redness on his tummy was gone! Highly recommend!
