I had originally bought an HDMI 2.1 cable (INR 417) to connect my laptop to a 4K 60hz monitor. But the monitor had an HDMI 2.0 port, so despite my HDMI 2.1 cable, it could only show an 8-bit colour with choppy refresh rates. It was functional but strained my eyes. So I bought this DisplayPort 1.4 cable (INR 2,799), and everything on my monitor is smooth, at 10-bit colour in 4K. My eyes can relax now.

the wire doesnt work with nvida control panel which is very important to know and must br stated in the description because i bought the wire to use g sync. only the 3d settings part of nvdia control panel is visible with the wire attached compared to all the controls availible when used with hdmi

I bought one of these and a DP - DP cable from the largest office supply business in Australia and subsequently had no end of trouble trying to boot my computer. It turned out that, like many manufacturers of DP cables it seems, it was not compliant with VESA standards - pin 20 was wired when it shouldn't be, so there was a voltage conflict between my computer and monitors. This Maxonar VESA certified cable works perfectly. Warning - don't buy DP cables that are not certified; they can fry your GPU.

Tengo un monitor Samsung Odyssey G9 49" y una Macbook Pro, el cable funciona como esperaba, me proporciona hasta 1520 x 1440 en 2K, suficiente para mis necesidades actuales, estoy consiente que para tener los 4K que es la capacidad del monitor necesito un cable DP a DP, sin embargo este cable cumple perfecto con el trabajo si tienes una Macbook Pro o una laptop con entradas USB-C y sin entradas DP. Totalmente recomendado.

High quality cable, thicker, tougher, well built metal connectors with hefty weight on hand. Connectors snap into both ports securely and stay straight. Best of all is this cable works as spec, DP 1.4 (32.4 GBPS). It definitely fix my problem with the 32 inch 4K monitor. The display randomly blacked out for seconds then came back and quite often could not detect video signal from a desktop pc during booting. Changing HDMI cables did not solve the problem. Switched over to a USB-C (display) to DP 1.2 cable (high quality brand) improved the frequency of failure but problem still occurred. Co-Pilot suggests to go up on protocol to DP 1.4 cable (monitor is DP 1.2 on spec) and this cable solves the problem cold. I will buy a few more for all monitors I have. Last by not least, its current price is the true deal-maker.
