Is this lot# bken122017 with the bigger board? according to iello, that lot number and all future ones will include the bigger board

If you didn't get the larger board, and still want the larger board, you can order it directly from iello here: https://www.iellosale.com/product-page/bunny-kingdom-larger-board

Is this fun with just 2 players?

I play Bunny Kingdom with my wife and have a lot of fun.

Given that the new board size not openly stated in ads or on the box, this seems less than open and therefore dishonest obfuscation?

No.. it's just a standard sized board. I just got mine in the mail a week ago. Roughly 20"x 20" (don't hold me to that. I didn't measure)

What size card sleeves are needed?

I'm using dragon shield clear perfect fits. I'll be linking which ones exactly I got. I bought three packs, but you only need two to cover all the cards and have a bit to spare.
