Bauerfeind LumboTrain Back Support - Lumbar Brace - Stabilization and Pain Relief for the Spine - Size 5 - New Version

I've tried enough back braces over the years to know there are two basic categories: 1. "Did I accidentally strap a sheet of plywood to my torso?" 2. "Is this thing even doing anything?" The Bauerfeind LumboTrain somehow avoids both. The first time I put it on, I expected the usual wrestling match. Instead, it slipped on easily, stayed where it belonged, and immediately felt supportive without making me breathe like a Victorian gentleman in a corset. It doesn't scream, "I HAVE A BAD BACK!" It quietly says, "I've got you - go live your life." I wear it while walking the dogs, working at my desk, traveling, and doing light workouts. It provides that reassuring reminder to stand a little taller and move a little smarter without making me feel like a crash-test dummy. The materials are outstanding - firm where they need to be, flexible where they should be, and surprisingly comfortable even after wearing it for hours. It doesn't bunch up, slide around, or make me feel like I'm being shrink-wrapped. Yes, it's more expensive than many back braces. So is a good mattress. So are quality shoes. So is physical therapy. Some things are worth paying for if you use them every day. This isn't a miracle cure. It didn't make me twenty-five again, eliminate gravity, or convince my back to forget decades of questionable lifting decisions. But it did exactly what I wanted: it made moving through the day noticeably more comfortable. Five stars. My lower back and my future chiropractor are currently having a disagreement about who deserves more credit.

I have the Achiilotrain and it absolutely cured ny achilles tendonitis. This didn't work as well for my lower back issue although my 94 yo Mom swears by hers. Fit is paramount!

Did not feel any support for my back. It felt more like a compression sleeve for my waist. I will say the quality of the material is a very high standard.

This company is a very serious provider of high quality, well engineered supports and braces for various body parts. This back brace lives up to that description. Very well made, excellent fitting brace that provides firm support to my lower back and hip area. I have purchased several braces from this company and found all of them to be of this high quality standard. Highly recommended.

Worth the money!

Several years ago my Dr. recommended that I get this brand of back brace. I got older and outgrew it. I was thrilled to find it in my size and can now enjoy life pain free.

Good product.

For what I paid I am really not happy with the product. I strap it on as tight as it will go and still don't see how this is giving my back much support.

Nach dem mein letzter Rückengurt von Seegermed in die Jahre gekommen ist und der Klettverschluss sich vom Rest getrennt hat, habe ich bezahlbaren Ersatz gesucht, der mir genau so halt gibt, wenn ich ihn brauche wie der Alte. Lange Vorrede kurze Antwort. Ich habe ihn mit diesem Rückengurt gefunden. Liegt gut an, stützt mich. Und der Preis ist gut.

Good lumbar support overall. It feels well made, gives solid support to the lower back, and is comfortable enough to wear during normal daily activity. The material quality is better than many cheaper back supports, and it stays in place quite well. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because the price is quite high, and it can feel a little warm after wearing it for a longer time. But in terms of support and build quality, it is a very good product.
