This is a fine piece of technology!
Hi. I originally bought this phone when it first released. I was surprised to see it being sold in stores and outlets and at that time I bought it at it's starting price of $880 I believe and it simply worked! On accident I have dropped this phone multiple times on hard surfaces and face down flops, you name it and it always worked without any issues apart from normal wear and tear. The last accidental drop was recent which was on it's side and finally cracked the screen but as stated the phone just did not give up! All features and functions were at tip top shape and screen had full control with a huge crack. At this point in my life I go for stability and something that works over flash. This phone, if I hadn't dropped it would of continued to function for me for years to come but I won't deny normal wear and tear so I bought another Blackberry Priv which is why I am here writing this positive review. This phone came in perfect condition, with a carrying case for belt power block and a charging cable which unfortunately is the only negative as it's loose and didn't charge the phone but it's ok as I am using the original cable I got 5 years ago. I simply inserted my AT%T sim card and the phone was functional within minutes. The only gripes I have toward Black Berry Priv as a whole is sliding keyboard is unnecessary for me personally and the lack of good phone cases and general 3rd party protection. I've probably tried most cases with approximately $140 spent on cases alone for this phone but the quality is really poor and leather doesn't hold up but all things considered the phone is so durable that it really doesn't need a case at all and I've dropped this phone way more than any other phone I've ever dropped. All in all. Buy this piece of technology with outmost confidence. It's stylish, professional and it's mature. I love this phone. I absolutely love this phone!

At first this was a great phone, but after 2 days this phone started to over heat and black out. You can hear the phone sounds but the screen is completely blacked out plus the phone gets very hot very fast. I was able to return the phone with no problem, and get a full refund. I will order a new one someday, but i will wait untill they get the bugs fix on that model phone before ordering it again.

Great Phone
I have waited a while before sending in my review as I wanted to have some time with it before I made any comments. First of all I am a Blackberry phone user (last phone Z10) for a good number of years. I like this phone. It is easy to use and setup. I set it up at home using Wi-Fi and used the BB Transfer App on both phones and it copied my Z10 info over without a hitch. Then took it to the AT&T phone store and they registered it for me under my account. Since I had a BB Z10, it required a new sim card (sim card from a Z10 is too big for the Priv), otherwise easy to transfer my mobile number over given that I bought it unlocked on Amazon. It gives me the Blackberry experience I want (hub, keyboard, BB security), and the android use that is needed (apps). Also updated the software immediately once I was on Wi-Fi without me asking. Battery life is great. The choice of screen and keyboard works for me. When I'm in a hurry, I use the screen, but when I have time I use the keyboard as it is easier to make less mistakes when typing a message. Camera use is easy and for me the pictures taken have been great as well. I would recommend this to a BB user who would like the use and experience of BB product but the access to android use. It is the best of both worlds.

Come for the hardware keyboard, stay for the impressiveness
Definitely worth the money today, at the price of about 300 USD. I got a System Upgrade notification shortly after connecting to the internet, and, after the upgrade was finished, everything is working as expected (Android 6.0.1). The screen is clear and vivid, its brightness keeps things visible in strong daylight, and it can also go dim enough for a great reading experience in the dark. Great battery life! It's also greatly responsive after many days without a power-off, though I recommend an ad blocker for anyone using a lot of their browser app. The slideout keyboard doesn't have every key or symbol you might want, but the keyboard gestures (!!) provide an acceptable alternative. Sound quality coming from the 3.5mm jack is great for this form factor. It also takes signals like a champ - wi fi, cellular and bluetooth were all working flawlessly for me even in somewhat hot conditions. Wireless charging works painlessly and is VERY handy (though you have to check your model number, certain PRIV versions don't have it). Overall - I knew I wanted it because of the slideout keyboard, and I was willing to put up with anything bad - so I was impressed with how modern and well-performing it turned out to be. Cons: - how bloated it is with Blackberry apps from the start. I solved this by replacing some of the default apps (SMS, notes, to-do list, image viewing) with FOSS apps, and also leveraging Marshmallow to block a lot of those default behaviors. (Such as the DTEK app.) I still use Blackberry's clock app though. - upgrading to Marshmallow is about 1.5 GB to download. - would like to see a refresh of this that has a Usb 3.1 C port. - all of the included ringtones are annoying, which prompted me to transfer over the one I had from my old Asus phone. - icon sizing on the home screen is weird. You can change font size in the menus, but not for the launcher apparently. Somewhere between setting the font size & custom screen density is the sweetspot for the ideal viewing experience, which I'm still trying to find.

I'm in love with this phone
I'm in love with this phone. As an avid BlackBerry fan, going from Curve 8520 to Bold 9900 to Q10 this is by far a work of art. It takes a while getting used to the Android OS and I do miss some of the simple BlackBerry Apps such as the gallery or music player which I find overly complicated on Android, as well as the Hub integration is not quite as smooth as on Q10. Considering hardware, it's a sturdy phone. Sliding keyboard works smoothly and typing is super easy. The screen with the rounded edges feels great to the touch and works without problems, image quality is superb. In terms of camera or sound quality I'm sure there's better options but works alright for me. Altogether, well done!

Works great. So far it has not been a disappointment at all. Glad I made the purchase. Big fan of keyboards. The phone is slick as well. (posted at the time of purchase about 2 years ago). 1) As of today March 15, 2018. The battery has just failed for no apparent reason, I left it plugged overnight as suggested in some forums but it has not solved the issue. 2) I had issues with the screen going black/flickering on/off, it happens mostly when making or receiving a call with the audio still working. Very annoying as you cannot adjust anything with screen blinking or just totally off. as much i tried to hang on to the blackberry brand, It is the only brand of smart phones I have ever had for the last 10 years . but I believe now i have to give up and join all the others who dropped the brand along ago for what seems to be more reliable ones.

Not worth $200
The phone was great when the first arrived everything that I needed was there, the setup was pretty smooth, and connecting my service to the phone was fine. When I started using the phone, I knew it was a used phone and I was okay with it being a used phone. At first the internet was slow when I downloaded some games it wouldn't work but then I later realized that everything needs to be updated because it is a used phone so I did that and everything started working fine. Then I downloaded Google Duo and that's when the problems started, a message popped up continuously after I downloaded Google Duo; and it will pop up quite often interfering with me using the phone, so I deleted Duo and still the message kept coming up so much that I couldn't make phone calls. I could receive them but I couldn't make them. And then the the phone has 3 special Blackberry features that I could not access two three of those features. There was a BlackBerry messaging in addition to the Android messaging I was messing around with. In Blackberry messaging I noticed that there were gifs that I was using back and forth with my husband and when I actually went to go use the Blackberry messaging for the GIF none of those special features were there anymore, just standard Android emojis. I really wish this phone was either cheaper or work better in the most standard basic way because not being able to make phone calls is a real deal-breaker- it's a phone! And I really enjoy slider phones especially with the big screen like this Blackberry had. They don't make slider phones as common as full touch screen phones are available but at least I returned it timely and got my money back and I'm able to get the phone that will work properly so no hard feelings but I don't think I would recommend getting a used phone again.

Outstanding phone..
I like Blackberry for many reasons and wish that they had adopted an Android shell earlier (z10 at the latest) so that they would be more prevalent in the smart phone market. It's a great phone, very sexy and works very well. I don't use the physical keyboard that much but it's very helpful with longer emails or documents so that the full screen is available. Looking forward to be able to use it with just a sim card swap in Europe on our next trip. (I have the gsm, unlocked model.)

Equipo no nuevo
No incluia manos libres.
