Q: My door doesn’t have the required 2 1/4” on the molding but i have a hallway that is 36” wide. could i mount it there if i can hit studs?

Yes you can install it in 36" wide doorway, but I would recommend to use longer screws since you have to pass drywall to install screws in studs.

Q: how long are the hanging straps?

The strap with the ring is 10" long (8" for the strap and 2" for the ring) I hope it helps. Let me know if you need more information.

Q: Can you use on door frame with trim only on ONE side?

It would depend on how wide the frame is. You want it sturdy enough to hold up to 100 pounds and wide enough that kids can swing through without hitting a wall or frame. We chose a hallway “doorway” and it has worked great. Kids love it.

Q: Recommend age says 3-10 years, but has a 200lb weight limit? Would this be good for older kids, 11-12 years old?

The recommended age is when kids will have the most fun on this swing. Since the space is limited in doorways, children as they get older might not enjoy the trapeze bar and rings combo as much as younger kids, but they can definitely still use it. And of course they can always cuddle in the sensory swing or do chin-ups on the bar.
