Great ending to the series.
10 yo son loved this series. He didn’t enjoy numbers 3 & 4 as much because the storyline seemed sadder and things were happening to the protagonists that worried him but when he finished #5 he said he really liked how the series ended.

My boys love this series
My 8 year old and 10 year old sons are disappointed that there isn’t a next book to read in this series. We’ve read all of them as our nightly read aloud.

Excellent series
I read these books with my 7 yr old and we were both gripped by the story. The language is rich and engaging; mature enough to expand my son's vocabulary while still being accessible and enjoyable. It strikes the perfect balance between being captivating for adults and easily understandable for young readers.

The Dragon Defenders series
We bought all five books in this set. We are a homeschooling family who are teaching our autistic grandson. He loves dragons so this seemed like it might interest him. He is eleven and loved thus series soooo much. Thank you, James Russell for writing so brilliantly! We couldn't put this series down! Recommended for the pure love of reading. Very descriptive and invites the reader to be part of the family! I rate this a 5 star, and I NEVER do that!!!
