FANTASTIC Customer Support
I installed the winch in July and it worked perfectly. In January I tested the winch again, since I never actually used it yet with a load. It would not release the cable, I would hear the click in the control module but nothing would happen. It would take in the cable fine. I contacted customer support and they immediately sent me a new control module with 2 remotes. Winch works perfectly once again. GREAT Customer support!!!!

Warranty Issue
I had purchased a 4,500lb winch 8 months ago, which had worked great until a recent motor binding issue. The Stegadon team stood behind their product and sent me a replacement. Very easy to work with and quick results. Thanks!

The winch and the remote control worked fine. But, I replaced the wire cable with a rope...
I use the winch to roll logs up onto my trailer, over the side rails. I use two ramps beside the trailer, and a snatch block. The only problem I had was that the metal cable wouldn't roll into the winch housing tight enough, when I winched in a log. It would be such a large diameter that it would fill up the cable housing. Then, it would be stuck. Only by jerking on the cable extremely hard repeatedly, with your entire body weight, would free up the cable. SO, I swapped the cable for a 50 ft. rope, that was made for winches. Problem solved... The cable was just too stiff. I plan on buying this model of winch again, but with a rope next time...

Mine sucks and poor customer service
Set this unit up on my boat ramp. Used it about 4 times to pull my boat on the trailer out of the water. The load is under 50% capacity of the wench. Customer service did their best to deflect their responsibility for a unit that doesn’t work as designed.
