I guess my headline should speak for itself. I have used this both as a preshave and as a beard oil. It works perfectly and equally great on both. As a preshave I got a smooth, super comfortable, and very close shave with both shaving creams I used (Proraso and Bulldog). It definitely improved the performance of the already high quality shave products I used. After growing out my beard and trying a number of beard oils packaged in tiny bottles I decided to give it a try instead of those. Amazing good moisturizer at a small fraction of the price. If you read the label you will see exactly the same good oils as the so-called dedicated beard oils. It's an easy choice for me. Over the long period time I have used this the only "complaint" I might have is perhaps a decrease in the proportion of essential oils to the formula. Maybe it's just my imagination, but I now add a little Sandalwood, Lemongrass, or Bergamot essential oil to the bottle for a longer lasting scent in my beard. This is a complete non-issue if using strictly as a preshave. This is a no-brainer, must-buy.

This is very good oil for shaving. I was using Art of Shaving oil, which is good, but I thought I would try this because it's much cheaper. I found that the sandalwood scent isn't very strong, but I have a small bottle of essence on hand, so I added some, and that helped. But I noticed a much better shave. It could be because I use more oil -- when the cost isn't so much, you can use a little more. But I notice the oil clings to the skin much longer producing a better shaving experience.

Fabulous pre shave oil. Moisturizing, with excellent glide. Great scent that doesn't last and therefore compete with any post shave products. As the base under shaving brush applied foam, this works VERY well. And at this price, you can't go wrong! How, on earth, can companies justify the ludicrous prices they charge for pre shave oils, when a product of this quality and effectiveness is available? VERY strong recommendation.

I’ve been shaving my head bald for quite a few years now, I’ve been using Secret Shave for awhile when shaving. I’ve also used Musgo Real shave oil. Used to get Secret Shave Oil at Walmart but for some reason my local store stopped carrying it. Secret Shave IMHO is very good tho tips on bottles are inconsistent with application drops. Musgo Real is great but on more expensive side. I’ve decided to give this a try, yes the bottle is way bigger but first 2x I’ve used this I’ve have cuts(haven’t had cuts in YEARS!!!). Just shaved my head today & used a tad more product than my first 2 shave with this product, one small nick spot. I’ve wanted to have this better than my other 2 shave oils I used but for me it just wasn’t it. Smell is good, price for amount isn’t bad. It just wasn’t it for me. I’d like to try another shave oil but IMHO why bother if Secret Have & Musgo Real oils gave me the absolute closest shave ever

Very satisfied with this product. Makes my shave a great experience. Has a good smell to it and makes the blade glide when I shave. I use a straight razor, and this just enhances the shaving experience

I usually don't leave reviews but i was going back and forth about different razors and the question about preshave oil kept coming up. The prices of this stuff is all over the place and i went on reviews and the price. The price can't be beat but more importantly it really works well. Less than half a pump is more than enough. I use a good shave cream over it and same razor.... Very smooth shave and there really is a significant difference using it ve. not using it. Also, call me crazy but the razor doesn't seem to clog and rinses clean easily and the whiskers are smaller. I can't speak to other brands but this oil works well and the price is great. I got the eucalyptus scent and it was really good... Not overpowering and the skin felt moisturized even after using an alum block and cold water rinse. I am a real customer, i bought this and no one asking me to make this review. I hope that this was of help.
