does this dry hard/solid? can parts be removed after? i want to use this to install oil sensors in my car. thanks.

Dries semi hard but hard enough that you can leave a fingernail imprint. it's not difficult to disassemble anything. I really like this stuff

Will it seal even with small amount of hydraulic fluid present? Just incase I can't get it all cleaned out of the female threads,

For LOCTITE 545 clean as much as possible in order to have the best possible result. I would recommend testing it in order to see how it behaves for your application. Also 545 is ideal for hydraulic system because it has no fillers so it will not contaminate.

Can I use this on the outside of a threaded line that is slowly leaking? Or only on the threads as it’s screwed in to prevent leaks?

To my knowledge it will only work if you put it inside the threads - as you are assembling it. And it works pretty well doing that. Worked on a 3000+ psi hydraulic connection that was continually leaking.

I have a compressor tee fitting that I can't fully tighten to keep it oriented properly. Will this seal that fitting?

It probably will for a while , but it will leak again . If the fitting is loose you could try teflon tape or you could try to tap the hole out a little and try to turn the fitting one complete turn to get it to tighten up.
