Great for threaded rod.
I used this to repair threads on all-thread rods cut with bolt cutters. Worked great!

Got the job done
Long story, but I needed to add a chamfer to a cut off piece of threaded rod (almost like a broken bolt) and it worked great. This thing is small, which was perfect for me. The outer rim of the bell is 15/16ths (0.9 inches, 23mm), with a maxed out cutting height of 11/32nds (0.35 inches, 9mm), and an overall total height of about 1.8 inches (45mm). This is the version that’s rated for 5/32 to 7/16 inches (4 to 12 mm).The shank works in a 1/4-inch impact driver or a drill.

Works like a charm
Needed to get nut on the end of a bolt. Couldn’t thread the nut. 10 seconds of using this and presto! Worked great!
