I purchased these Astro A40 TR to replace my original A40’s that i bought 10 years ago, A40’s are great for gaming, movies and pretty good for music. If you’re considering buying A40’s - do it! They are well worth the money, and if you also consider picking up the TR mod kit, these headphones will last a long time

Best Gaming Headsets
I use Astro headsets for gaming. Imho they are the best headsets for this purpose. Well built, comfortable, excellent sound. Only downside is their microphone.

DEFINITELY had to get my hands on this after snagging a PS5! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
After finally getting a PS5 Slim, I HAD to buy this ASTRO A40 TR headset. The microphone quality on this headset is INSANE (zillions of times better than my Turtle Beach Recon 500 headset that I ordered for my PS4 the year before, the Recon 500 started acting up after only like six or seven months, not even a full calendar year); I LOVE the noise cancellation and the soft earpads that come with the headset and the fact that you can customize this headset with various different mod kits! I would definitely recommend this mic, especially if you just got your hands on a new PS5 and/or an Xbox Series X|S! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Pro Quality Available for Everyone.
After my Trutle Beach set broke, it was time to upgrade. Watching popular Youtubers got me to the Astro A40. I like wired headphones so I don't need to mess with recharging. These are some of the best base headphones for gaming that doesn't require an amp for great performance. Playing games like CoD you really here footsteps & can even tell distances of enemies from you. The price point is high, but it is for good reason. If you're looking for a quality gaming headset you'll take care of, you can't lose. One suggestion I would make is try before you buy the amp or noise cancelling mod kits. I assumed I would want both until using these headphones and being just fine with the quality out of the box. Very satisfying purchase for a hardcore gamer or anyone looking for an advantage!
