Very strong well made work really good for my trailer

I made some swing doors (for a "dump bed" contraption in the bed of my RTV900). I hauled 50 yards of mulch with the contraption last week (1.5 yards at a time--1000 lbs?). This latch would have held much better than what I had (that latch failed). I got this and in 10 minutes (obviously) welded it right on top of a 2x2 as shown. I think it's a 3/4 nut I welded to the other door. It keeps the doors from opening. I can adjust or add another if they pop open during the next job. I left big gaps in everything to keep mulch from getting trapped. If the travel in the pin was another 1/4 or 1/2 that would be great for my application.

I put this on my 6x14 trailer gate and it works awesome! Very heavy duty latch!! Makes locking my gate quick and efficient! No more lost pins!! I will purchase this again when I build another trailer.

I bought 4 of these for a project. One was assembled backwards as can be seen by the retaining notch on the wrong side of spring tension. Also the pin is 16mm not 5/8 " . Had to go back and re-drill my holes larger. They worked great despite these issues and would buy again.

Prefect for an adjustable fork stabilizer bar I made for the tractor. Welded these puppies on and drilled out the holes for the perfect fit. Not worried about loosing a pin or bolt. These are permanent and resistant to damage from anything I put against the forks.

I really like this. I was pleasantly surprised at how much heavier duty this is than looks in the picture. It also has a little groove to twist and hold the pin open if you want. The metal seems very thick so welding it on shouldn't be a problem for me. I just ordered my second one. For $7.67 it's a great value in my opinion.

I used it on a tractor attachment that I was fabricating. I could have used a clevis pin and a hairpin but this is much more professional and polished looking. Plus I'll never lose the pin.

Extremely sturdy I like this pin very much. Going to be welding it to my bumper on my truck for a job I need. I do wish the pin was stainless steel like the outside bracket it is in but I can easily do something about that with WD-40 or whatever.

I returned this as it was too big for my project - but they are very well built and should last for years in their intended role.

First off, this is very heavy duty, and requires some strength to engage. if only it had been thought out better. The only way to weld it on is on the front (pin) end. If you weld it to something from the side you will not be able to operate the handle as it is much bigger than the squares dimensions. The reason for 4 stars is the quality of machining, the roll pin sticks out past the frame and on my unit only one pin makes contact as you can see in the photo. Either the hole was not drilled perpendicular to the shaft or the cast square was uneven
