Fast paced book, thoroughly enjoyable. Kinda like a John Wick meets Robinhood. Will definitely be reading more in the series.

Mr Menapace states he writes to entertain..and that he does my first read of his and enjoyed it. Action suspense and sarcasm. Will continue on with the series

Loved the dog I believe every new pup comes to you for reason thanks for adding that. The camaraderie that the town of noodle gave was awesome. Sorry to lose some really nice people but the sheriff is hot. Can’t wait to read the next book and I hope the sheriff is in the next one, even if only talking to each other a really great read

Probably the most gruesome book I've read but the writing was excellent and the story kept you very interested. Now on to book 2!

Meet Caleb, professional assassin. Whatcha thinking? Me too and I was wrong. Give this guy a chance. If you're like me, you'll learn to like him. This was a fun book to read. I had a hard time putting it down. I love Jack Reacher 📚 books. This one was close.Enjoy.

The plot was a straightforward, fast and easy one. The reader gets plenty of time to know other characters in the story and care about them, such as the old-fashioned residents one meets in small town Noodle. There are no subplots that broke off into huge, unnecessary descriptions to try and add length to the novel for the hell of it. All you get is Caleb moving along, dodging deadly attacks, and hitting back even harder, up against enemies who seem like they could squash someone as young and naive as him like a bug. However, Caleb reminds me a bit of Batman, or even the Joker, as in his own twisted ways he was always one step ahead of his enemies. They want him dead, but just like John Wick or Dexter, he won’t go down easy.

Not your typical contract killer read. Caleb is an interesting character. Looking forward to reading the series and watching him develop.

Loved this so much! Caleb has been through so much from such a young age it’s little wonder he’s a little f*cked up. Yet he still has his morals and only goes after those who he thinks deserves it. Think of a mix between Dexter and John Wick and that’s Caleb. You can’t help but love him.You don’t need to have read the Bad Games series of books to read this but I’d recommend those to everyone anyway, they’re also awesome books.I really hope we get more Caleb books!

Well first time I’ve encountered a hit man that actually has no morals for the bds guys….do something bad …something bad will happen to you. Great stuff.Enjoyed the comments between him and his back room people that a nice line to develop….and my like more gust and git no surrender.

I did enjoy reading "Caleb " , I know him from his childhood ( Bad Games) and he is good person in heart.Not sure about story in the book. I have feeling that I am watching different action episodes taken out of different thriller movies and been put together for us to read.Doesn't matter, as I said I like Caleb.👍

I realise that Jeff was aiming for brevity but it did not work for me , now I love a good revenge Assassin turned goodie, think Orphan X; Jet; Beatrice ; Vince; etc but Caleb had few redeeming features ( even allowing for the dog) . I could not warm to him so won’t be pursuing his journey . sorry Jeff . purple P

Great follow on from the original stories. Just one piece of advice if you are going to use English counties etc get it right midlands and Yorkshire miles apart in attitudes and accents. Up north they’d call you duck and in most of the midlands it would be bab lol
