Easy to use. I’ve been using this samw container for 3 years. Refill bags a good price for the convenience. No oder ever from this thing. I pull tear off bag and tie a new not every trash day (once per week), but sometimes with life I have let this go for a few weeks before changing. I like smaller poop bags, so I do it more frequently.Great for kids who need kitty responsibility. Or someone who has a long walk to a trash can outside! Excellent product!

I love the Litter Genie. It saves me a dozen trash bags a week, and makes the cat's bathroom smells better. The cartridge has good enough design, and the pull down bags are thick and great quality. It takes a minute to remove the litter filled bag, and install the new one.The only complaint I have are the cartridges are a bit expensive. My cat is very active and produce a lot. So a genie cartridge definitely does not last two months. But that's not a flaw in the product itself. So I still give this a 5 star. Another thing I haven't figure out is when the bag would run out. I don't keep track, or I lost track all the time. So I do cheat by using regular 13 gallon bags in the Litter Genie. Using the garbage bags is a good way to save, and it's always well stocked at home (if not, grocery bags can be used though a bit short). But the garbage bags are much thinner, get caught in the divider sometimes, does not shield odor as well, and cost a few minutes to install. So I still purchase the refill cartridge from Amazon. Because I'm not sure when the included bag would run out, I keep the empty cartridge ring and use it with garbage bags when I run out of included bags.Here's how I use the cartridge ring and included bags:Follow direction to install bag. Tie the bottom of the bag with a rubber band.Here's how I use garbage bags:Open up garbage bag. Install bag similar to original bag with the opening wrapped around the cartridge ring. Add a rubber band to secure garbage bag around the cartridge below the black top.One thing I do pay special attention to is when I install/remove bags on the Genie, I always wear disposable gloves. I remove litter and replace bags every week, but don't wash the Genie every week. Because there's no way to avoid litter coming into contact with the pail, I always try to play safe.

These are our holy grail as the owners of three cats. It does seem pricey to spend $10 on plastic bags, but the design of the Litter Genie container and the quality of the bags do wonders to help reduce the smell of owning cats. We started with one cat and used a standard plastic litter box that we scooped daily using plastic grocery bags and would do full swaps semi-regularly. The cat distribution system assigned us two more cats, and we made the following changes: swapped from plastic to stainless steel litter boxes and scooper, started using a Litter Genie, full litter swaps at least once a week, and we bleach the litter boxes at least once every other week. Just using the Litter Genie and switching to stainless steel litter boxes alone has made an insane difference in reducing the unpleasant but unavoidable odor of owning cats. I like that Litter Genies aren't as wasteful in terms of plastic bags, as you can use the same bag for a few days instead of using one bag each day for cleaning. When we were gifted the Litter Genie, we were also given heavy duty refill bags. I couldn't bring myself to shell out the extra cash for heavy duty vs these, and these work just as well. Neither leak nor tear easily, but I do think the heavy duty traps the smell even slightly more, so we may purchase those moving forward. Regardless, we are obsessed with the Litter Genie and the improvement is has made for us.

These are GREAT to use, with clumping litter ( only), when daily keeping their litter boxes clean. The refill is VERY easy to install. Directions are printed on the packaging. VEEERY, very important to "knot it" BEFORE using it!!!! Trust me, you do that, ONLY.ONCE.The only downside, is that, each sizes ( of refills) ARE NOT interchangeable with all models of Litter Genies. You MUST USE the correct ( sized) refill for the model that you own. BIG, big hassle if you don't ( OF WHICH, involves using duct tape). If you know, you know. 🤷‍♀️

this are a must have! i always keep one to two refills in the house cause you just never know and for the price it’s great! doesn’t break the bank and the genie litter really keeps the smell in. it’s awesome

The Good News: Litter boxes still must be scooped frequently - nothing changes with that part - but, using the Litter Genie, it isn't necessary to carry the soiled litter to the trash immediately. This is a big plus for me, as multiple daily trips to the trash room 2 flights downstairs can now be avoided. The soiled cat litter scent and the less than appealing visual mess is all contained in a fairly decent looking contraption. The plastic disposal liners are super heavy weight so no problems at all with them leaking or tearing or in any way not containing the used litter. Once you figure out how to do it ( the directions could be more clear) tearing off the liner when it is full and pulling out more is pretty easy. It works like a sausage casing that you knot at one end, fill up with used litter, then tear off and knot off the top end when it is full. You pull out additional length that you knot off again and start over. You get 3 full "sausages" from each refill cartridge. For me with 2 cats, that is about 18 days per cartridge.The Less Than Good News: The refill cartridges aren't cheap; this is going to get expensive over time. The used clumped litter does not easily fall down into the lower compartment as the opening is rather narrow. The whole contraption needs to be cleaned as soiled litter gets stuck around the edges where it is dropped in .Bottom Line: I like it and I will continue to use it. I clean the contraption each week when I discard the liner, and it isn't that big of deal. Buying the refills on Amazon in quantity to qualify for free shipping helps to bring the price down. Also, the Litter Genie is available at Bed, Bath and Beyond and you can use the coupons they send out all the time. Price is better than Pet Co.

Excellent and cost saving. Reusing the cartridge makes sense and reduces waste. Installation was a breeze.

Excellent fit for my older model litter pail, and so much less expensive. Seems almost thicker than the brand name cartridges, plenty of length, and ties and hold knots easily. Makes little cleanup a breeze.

Bags fit the litter locker perfectly and a great price. Bags last for longer than the originals.

I especially liked the extra value and savings in buying this item in bulk. Works very well.

Easy to install (requires an old cartridge). Cheaper and better for the environment.
