Gun Cleaning Kit

I used this to clean my 9mm and it was the perfect kit for my pistol. I really enjoyed the quality of this kit and is well worth the money and easy to use. The greatest part is it is universal for any handgun not just a 9mm.

I have "real" gun cleaning tools (somewhere), but I was looking for a small, complete, PORTABLE kit, and was not having any luck. I finally bought 2 different kits and combined them, but it really was not ideal, as several small parts rattled around loose. Then I found this one. It had jags and brushes and mops and an oil bottle, so could be just what I was looking for. The case is indeed perfect. The small parts are securely held in LABELED slots, and the other side has a zippered mesh covering so the stuff in there stays in there. Plenty of room to "enhance" the kit with bits from the other two kits. Some people complain about the oil bottle. I don't care; I replaced it with the supplied oil and solvent bottles from another kit, (Neverdry, entirely adequate once enhanced, except things rattled around loose). Some people complain about parts breaking or "not fitting". We'll see, if this is a problem, I'll be annoyed, but the parts should be easy to replace (I've still got the remains of the other two kits) and the case is the "most important" part for this particular project. And then there are the people who whine that 9mm is not included. News flash: 9mm and .38/.357 are the SAME SIZE. If you have (the right sized) one of those, you have both of them. If the part you have does not fit, you don't have the right sized part. If you are looking for your "one and only" or "primary" cleaning kit, this one probably won't do. If you are looking for a secondary PORTABLE kit for the most common handgun calibers, you can probably make this one be just what you want.

This case is perfect for anyone who owns a handgun or pistol. It has everything you could possibly need to clean your firearm and can be used for different calibers. I've seen similar cleaning kits around but this one comes in a compact case that can be stored in your gun case or safe. My husband has purchased similar kits and wasn't as pleased as he was with this kit and all it comes with.

I was in the market for a cleaning kit for my 270 rifle and different shotguns, so when this popped up I added it to the kit without reading the description. Well it showed up and it's a handgun kit. Went back and read the description and sure enough that's what it's for. Thanks to the current government, I will never have a use for it as I currently don't own a handgun. Several of my friends do so I guess down the road I can gift it to one of them. As for the kit, it is compact and would make a great kit for in the range bag. Everything seems to be well made and didn't feel cheap. It's as good a quality as the rifle set I bought years ago, that this was supposed to replace. 4 out of 5 stars because the title was wrong, but that's on the seller (and my stupidity)not the product. Still may keep it and use for bolt cleaning.

Read the description carefully, because the title mistakenly uses the word "rifle." Later on they get it right: This is a wee little kit in a very clever zipper case, with a useful set of cleaning heads and threaded extension rods long enough to clean a variety of HANDguns. Full disclosure, I don't own a handgun. Probably. But I have the larger long gun kit too, and both sets' many heads and rods are compatible—everything screws into everything—making for a very versatile set of cleaning tools. I love having a bunch of easily interchangeable bristles, mops, scrapers, etc., on rod of whatever length I happen to need. Pipes, glass, tubing, conduit, narrow spaces, anything. Everything is standard 8-32 machine screw threading, so go-go-gadget cleaner! The handgun kit is a little limited on maintaining the outer surface, although you don't need specific niche tools to accomplish that. I object to them being so harshly punished for a copy-paste error in the title, because this is a nice little kit with a well-made, well-thought-out selection of cleverly versatile parts.
